Does anyone know what the deal is with him not being in the game? Does he have to play a game and then will get added with first roster update? Not anything game breaking, just curious as a Mets fan

Has to fill out the paperwork to join the players association,and I think appear in one game is also required before he is part of the license.
For some the paperwork takes a long time
(That guy on the reds that played for 2 years before being able to add comes to mind)
