RTTS character not showing as a league leader

So currently in MLB The Show 22 my SS has a BA of .773 17 games into this season. I played all game completely through minus 1 due to an injury I got during my first at bat (I was lead off man at top of the 1st so it was the first at bat in the whole game) so 16 whole games. Out of all those games I have 75 plate appearances. 75/17=4.41 and even if it was counting only 16 due to my injury my plate appearances per game are roughly 4.69. I’m not sure if there’s something I did to trigger this bug or if I’m just screwed because this has kept me from earning triple crown and getting to the all star game and HR derby. I’m really not trying to start a whole new character.

If you got called up mid-season, you probably won't show up. You need to have 3.1 at-bats per team games played (not your games played, but the whole team's). Depending on when you got called up, you might not see yourself on there in the current season.

I was called up mid season but this is now a my second, and whole new season. My understanding is the league leaders are counted from day one of the season and going forward which is why I’m at a loss as to why my stats aren’t being counted?
