I'm weary about this 'Day 1' scenario.
Will these cards be in the game Day 1? Yes.
Will they be attainable Day 1? Maybe; but I'm assuming it's going to be some kind of program where you have to play Moments/Missions to unlock these players. And thel all be unsellable.
Probably Moments to unlock one card. Then more Moments and Missions with the unlocked card. Think last year's PS program, or even like the Monthly Awards, programs. Just this time you won't have to wait weeks for the next part of the program to unlock.
Also, I'm weary on the stats that make these 99-99s. Especially Lindor. Pretty much makes that free Jeter obsolete.
I like this and I don't like this. Especially if they keep Parallel in the game. Going to be to many cards coming out at once.

I get what you’re saying but you have to remember that DD isn’t just for guys who play RS. I enjoy DD as much as the next guy and I didn’t play 1 inning of RS in 22.
Yes that free Jeter won’t stack up to Lindor but there are other modes to use him in. What if it’s a captain card that boosts a bunch of other cards? Maybe it’s a card you need to collect for a bigger prize. Regardless, this is most likely the best Lindor we’ll get but Jeter will undoubted get better.
I’m excited for this year. I was bummed at the beginning of 22 but ended up enjoying it for the most part. Still, it was a definite drop off from 21. So far it sounds like 23 will be a huge improvement. I’m all for content.

I get your point. And I didn't mean for my post to sound like it was all about H2H. I'm just wondering, even for strictly offline players, if it's going to be an overabundance of cards.
I'm going to use @Dolenz_MLBTS as an example. He stated that he didn't touch most of the POTM programs because he didn't like being 'forced' to use cards that he normally wouldn't use.
So an example. We have someone who is a HUGE Jeter fan. They are going to put that free PS card in Day 1 and play with that, most likely, until they either P5 it or a better Jeter is released. But if the WBC cards are set up like the POTM programs, and they want to be a completionist, they're going to have to possibly use Lindor to finish the program.
Yes, that is great for offline players, and if I can use you as an example, great for people that want a lot to do. But some people may feel/get overwhelmed and get burnt out fast.
I can even use Madden as an example as to when you grind for a particular player and a better card is released two days later.
Of course, this is all a moot point and will depend on how the programs are set up. So I may have just typed all this for nothing. Lol
Guess we'll see some Thursday and the rest Friday.
Either way; I'll be pre-ordering as I'm a glutton for punishment

Good point. And yeah, much will be determined by how these programs are structured. My hope is that with TA, Mini Seasons, all H2H programs and Conquest there will be an abundance of options for people to use the cards they want without being forced to use cards they have no interest in.

Jung Ho Lee (South Korea) plays for the Kiwoom Heroes of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO). He will likely be eligible for posting for MLB after this season.
Munetaka Murakami (Japan) plays for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows of the Nippon Professional Basbeball (NPB). He is not expected to be posted anytime soon.
