Having to Play on Arcade Mode

It is horse [censored] that we cannot use simulation mode for DD when not playing against another player. Why? It is fine against other players, but there was lots of other things to do in DD. Forget DD for me in '23. Just wish I had not pre-purchased the digital deluxe edition preparing for DD.

I agree with this 100%. I only play DD against the computer and love it. I don't have the time to master the difficult competitive controls, and just want to have fun with my DD squad against the CPU. I don't care about ranked ladders, but this will likely make me abandon DD overall even though it was my favorite mode last year.

You two realize that this is a 'test' and not the final game? I highly doubt they take out a mode like this in the final game.

It sure sounded like both online and offline DD would be in competitive mode only on their game features video this week. Being 70 years old my reflexes are not the same as they were in my 50's or 30's and playing DD on sim mode was a blast for me. I play that mode 75% of the time with RTTS a distant second. I hope I don't have to abandon the mode, but may have to do so if no longer fun to play. I hope I'm wrong on this, but it sure sounded like competitive mode only in DD going forward for both online and offline.

You can cancel a pre-order - you just have to call them or go to the playstation.com website and open a chat.

Thanks. I started collecting baseball cards in the 1950's, but unfortunately my mom threw them out when I went to college. So, collecting cards in DD is fun for me. Got to go. Have to practice Pinpoint pitching. Yep, 74 actually.

I thought on the stream they said the default was competitive mode but that you could change that in settings for offline play in DD.

Hopefully the guy was wrong, but one of the SDS developers said competitive mode no matter what you do in DD. It doesn’t make sense so hopefully it isn’t true but they said it.
