Franchise suggestions

I realize that ‘23 is on the cusp of release so my suggestions here are late for this cycle but since I’m also brand new to the forums I figure I’ll put in my two cents.
Trade features:
- Cash considerations
- Player to be named later
- More pieces to include per trade
- Active trade offers - trade offers should be a back and forth affair and should be able to be withdrawn by either side. When the trade deadline hits there should be offers on that day.
- Trade logic - suggested trades should reflect trade block settings a bit more accurately
Player options:
- Indicator for what players have used an option during the current season
- Notification during sim and manual progression before start and prior to end of spring training to call up and send down players to prevent unwanted options from being forced/used
Free agency:
- Popup notifications when a FA accepts and signs with your team
- When players you have qualified sign with another team there should be an indication of when it happens and what draft compensation is awarded
Draft:
- Should be able to see draft order prior to draft
- Prospect rankings : I’ve always been curious as to why prospects have no ranking. No consensus #1 overall?
- Scouting should be utilized throughout the entire prior season, not just the 2-3 months prior to the draft.
This is all I can think of for now. I’m sure some of these have already been suggested at some point. I know franchise mode is built on legacy code so its not likely that much happens with it in its current state and these suggestions will likely not make the cut.
But there’s no crying in baseball.
PLAY BALL!!!

SDS doesn't listen to ideas or implement anything new with reference to the franchise mode. Gallons of digital ink have been spilled in making suggestions to them and unfortunately, it's a waste of people's time. I don't see that ever changing, either now or in the future because the new paradigm is to make money from diamond dynasty. Any effort they put into the game will go there.
And I know they use the line that franchise is based on legacy code, but there are plenty of other games written in legacy code that are fun and interesting. What they're trying to make you believe is that they've made the best game that they can based on existing code. Who exactly is supposed to believe that? Do you actually need some kind of new code to make franchise fun and engaging? They only trot out that legacy code thing to get people to shut up about franchise.
But people will continue to fantasize. I only play a minimal amount of diamond dynasty in order to get gear for my rtts player, but I do play a lot of franchise and I've made peace with the fact that it's never going to change. Which is why I'm never buying this game again. There's just no point. I'm not paying full game price for a roster update. I used to love playing the show, but I don't get that excited about it anymore. I'll fire it up every now and then just for something to do, because it's honestly not a bad way to play nine innings of baseball. But I don't need a new game to do that.

I totally get/know where you’re coming from. But as someone who has played franchise modes of other games, specifically EA titles, I can say without question MLB is far and away light years ahead of any other sports game.
Madden and NHL are absolute train-wrecks to the point where I stopped buying their garbage two years ago after playing consistent year after year. Specifically their franchise modes which when it comes to bugs I could write a series of books.
So while I understand that in terms of MLB standards a lot of people may be unhappy with MLB’s franchise mode lagging behind, its still far and away the best franchise mode I’ve played for any sports option out there. Still I agree with you though there is a lot left to be desired with MLB and even some very small tweaks could go a very long way.
But for now, like you said, just have to see what they do year to year and if something seems like it makes it worth grabbing we can certainly do so.

I definitely know what you mean about Madden... somehow my Face of the Franchise ended after 3 seasons just when I ranked up enough to join The 99 Club and get a fat contract in free agency for year for... I was crafting such an amazing story in my head and mapping out my post to YouTube and everything... I'mma still finish it but man I wasn't a happy camper and I heard about other issues as well and I'm just like... I just started playing again and this is happening on the game??? lolz

Yeah myself and a few friends from work play connected franchise on madden every year. We were laughing histerically when we read that EA had that data loss and crapped out on 60% of their entire franchise base. I was so glad I didn’t give EA my money.
