Haven't played since the Brett collection came out and I was bored. So I reinstalled and have been playing some BR.

80% of my matchups bunt dance and hold R2 excessively. Oh how I missed it (sarcasm). You know what they all have in common? They all suck and rage quit on the first no doubter. If only they would focus on trying to hit the ball instead of trying to be annoying, they might actually improve at this game and quite possibly win a game or two.

Well, if you played me, you’re welcome. I won only 3 games out of the 20 or so entries I made today. I consider it a community service to help those I play get their 12 wins. I don’t want to lose, I just suck. Once I hit 100 points, I’m done.

And yet some people say that this isn't a thing. I'm running into the same.

I'm going to say that I've seen less of this behavior in BR this year (I still see it in RS). I'll guess that part of the "better behavior" is that if you're an average player like me, it makes sense to stay in the game and play due to the points/awards system. BR is soooo lucrative, especially mid-game cycle. I'm with @Blind_Bleeder on this...

Yeah personally I don't really mind the rage quits. Yeah it takes away the stats, but I I'll gladly take the easy W without having to use my bullpen. And you're right, it is lucrative. I started on my US account (this one) yesterday with no team and no stubs. A few hours later I had 99 Mike Trout, 99 Goose, 99 Larry Walker to mention a few. All from the BR program. Couple of 9+ win runs and you fly through it.

But the bunt dancing and R2 spamming is a completely different story tho. It's so toxic, it ruins the experience completely. And with a game that's already not very good (understatement, but also a personal opinion) that just makes it so much easier to step away from it once more.

I was actually playing a pretty good player yesterday at 9-0. I scored 4 runs in the top of the first and he answered with 4 runs of his own. All was going normal, and I had already decided that I was gonna message him afterwards regardless of who would win the game by saying it was a great game without any cheese or nonsense and thank him for that. Well, in the second inning I scored some more but he took the lead after answering once more and guess what.. he started to bunt dance.

Yesterday I had a few games go into extra innings - man, that gives a chunk of PXP towards points.

I just had a really bizarre game. I was visitor and we were in the custom Twin XP (or something like that) park. I love this park for getting PXP against CPU teams, I didn't know it was eligible for online games. Anyway, I was losing at the top of the 3rd until Frank Thomas hit a ball into the base of the RF wall. The guy picked up the ball and ran around, so I kept running the bases. He finally threw it in when I got to third. He LET me get Frank in and then the game went extra innings. He kept a pitcher in and LET me score more runs and I won the game in 5. I don't understand why he did that, but it increased my wins to 4 (which I've never had before), and I'm only 122 PXP away from the 4k in one entry.

When I saw what park we were in, I thought I would get mercied. The guy apparently didn't need the win and gave it to me. Thank you!!!!

Geesh - I got to 100 points (took Trout this time), and I am still 1 ticket shy of Rollins (2nd half (3), All-Star (5)), and 7 tickets shy of Mantle.
