One thing that needs to go

The ability for people who know the “secret method” of quick pausing the game after you take a lead off 2nd base, moving their fielder closer to the bag, then picking you off even though you 100% know what they are trying to do and you are jamming the button to either go back to the bag or call time and step out of the box.
The argument of don’t take the extra step is trash, I only take the step when nobody is near the runner just like every baserunner should in real life and also the game makes it too easy for runners to be thrown out at home on a two out base hit. The fact that it’s a unrealistic glitch and there’s like a magic way of doing it(if people take a lead on me at second and I throw there they seem to get back no problem) means that they should address it.
Every time this happens to me I want to throw my controller through the wall. Am I alone here?

Are you taking the extra step PRIOR to them selecting a pitch? I heard that if you take the extra step before they (it's either or) they select the pitch or before they look over it's a guaranteed pick-off.

Not 100% sure, but the bigger issue is the quick pause menu thing. They can basically pause me out of any action while they change their defensive alignment, then unpause and pick me off without me being able to do anything about it. It’s probably the cheesiest exploit that I’ve come
across and I feel like they need to address it somehow. -

A little conspiracy theory right here: Ice noticed that late nite games, for me around 3am EST, I usually match up against someone that will try anything to get a win.
I played someone tonight that had OVER 1300 RS games played and the first thing they did when they came up to bat in the Top of the 1st was hold R2 and 'bunt dance'. They did it after EVERY pitch. And when they pitched; the side stepped EVERY pitch.
It was nerve wracking to say the least.
Probably didn't help that once I saw they were holding R2 every pitch, for an extended time, I took my time pitching. I think that 3 inn Event game lasted about an hour.
I don't care anymore. While I may still complain here and there; I'm just going to roll with it. If you want to play like a tool; I'll quit the game and move on to the next.
I'm debating stopping after I get Mantle and taking a break until 23 so I'm not run down when it releases. (That's if I can find a PS5 by then.)

I get stuck with that guy about 2 times a week. I have taken a new motto against people like them. That motto is "if you have time to bunt dance, then you don't need time for me to wait to pitch" so I quick pitch the hell out of them.
Some of them get the message and stop after a couple of innings of this, others are just total d bags and just try to annoy people to quit because they have even less skill than I do and want the cheap win.
