Awww yes, Showdown!

Done this first try. Only one who gave me issues was Bhueler. (or however its spelt)

I hate showdown but this one, the one with Gagne as the final boss, was really easy. Completed start to finish in less than fifteen minutes.

I wish I could start it. I ran into a bug and can’t.

I actually found this one to be especially easy compared to the rest. The ones with relievers as final bosses are always easier. The pitch speeds were definitely veteran. The rest of it as much as it is BS I think we all know and need to accept at this point that CPU fielding sliders are maxed out.
I agree that it is still easy. I was doing at 3:30 or 4:00 am because I couldn't sleep and still getting through it just fine (even with the "perfect" swings being foul balls). I will probably do the last two bosses today to finish it off.

It is Buehler! That "H" placement is tricky! For some reason (probably because it was early in the morning), I was thinking the last boss was Kershaw. I am kind of glad that is not the case.
Looking at this Showdown again, there is no Beuhler in it, but does have Zach Wheeler! And the final boss is Eric Gagne.

If you don’t mind me asking, what is your strategy when going up against pitchers such as Gagne? Do you work the count and try to drain his energy? Or do you not bother worrying about the stamina?
Thanks -

ThanksFor me personally, I just look for my pitch and be patient doing so. That will usually help drive the pitch count up, but I don't think about that though. I just want to find my pitch and get good contact. Everything will fall into place if you just be patient and look for your pitch, get good PCI placement, and good timing. That is except for those darn perfect line drives of 111 mph that somehow end up being foul!!!

Sorry. Yes. It was Wheeler. I was getting confused with the legacy finest cards
would have been easier to spell too!Gagne throwing 102mph was a pain but I only needed one run and got it with 16 outs remaining.

Since we need to do it for the Finest Program, gotta love the...
111mph perfect line drive foul balls, and the...
inability for 99 Buxton and 99 Mantle to hit the ball, but the silver and gold batters are able to get the timely clutch hits, and you cannot forget the...
the fact that you look at the difficulty, see that it is Veteran, but then it is more like Hall of Fame in the game with the adjustments of sliders that are unknown to the player!!!
Did it first try...it was pretty easy

Same here, completed first try. The first one for the main program, I still haven't completed, seemed harder to me. Sometimes it comes down to luck, where you have choices of players you hit well with in each round of the draft.

It should be easy but the pop ups….my god. Twice now I’ve had the score tied, man on third and the pop up machine, Lance Lynn, gets out of it. My favorite was when Freddie Freeman, ball down the middle, good timing….pop up. Its the BS in showdown that still just sucks. Kudos to the guys that find it easy. I f’n hate it.
