Hey everyone, all year I haven't been able to consistently get great jumps on SB.

    What I do is:

    1. Before the pitcher sets, I hit L2 (remote vibrates)

    2. As pitcher sets, I hit L1 to take 1 step lead off 1B.

    3. Then, sometimes I try to hit L1 again soon as the pitcher starts his motion...or I don't do anything and let the computer jump by itself.

Both method have had inconsistent results.

    Any help or suggestions?? Thanks!

Hold L1 and let go when the pitcher starts his motion instead of just pressing L1

The glitchy technique requires you to hold R2...
Hold R2, Tap L2 (controller should buzz), Tap L1, wait for your runner to crouch, Release R2.

Also don't run on a 0-0 count, that's when they're more likely to do the pitch-out

I steal a lot of bases, I wait until my runner gets his lead and is set then I hit the steal button, I do not take the extra step until the pitcher looks over then looks away to start his delivery. With guys with 99 speed and 97 or above steal, I can still be safe on pitch outs most of the time, Make sure you are sliding head first on the out side of the bag.

I do this every time vs the cpu as long as my runner has 65 speed give or take, but was wanting to add that you can also hold R2, then tap L1 to take his lead. Then tap L2 for the steal and finally release. its still the same result so mine is just another method of being able to steal
