Yep....I figured it would be that way. I know it is tempting for me to want to do the same. I haven't even got him to P5, so I still have a long way to go. I am thinking about playing some RS (even though I am not a ranked fan) just to get him some nine inning games without playing a mode where everyone is pitching him every game.

They got to use somebody. They can't use Randy and Nolan in this one so who else would they spam? We already know they just play 1 game and quit

I know the masses prefer outlier guys, but this time it is just as much about the PXP as anything. 10k PXP is a ton and while SDS has wanted a program that people can chip away at, there are many who will not take that approach. I really think the program would have worked fine if the final Wood Mission was to P5 Aroldis instead. If someone can get Wood and then get a few of his missions done, they shouldn't have too hard of a time getting Chapman.

It’s on All-Star. Use it as practice to hit vs a good pitcher. Everyone always complains about this, but it’s really not a big deal. If you’re trying to grind him it’s smart to play 1 game and then forfeit your run and start over. I’d rather do that then the mindless grind vs CPU with 20+ Ks per game.

Events have really done downhill this year. For that reason I've changed my stance on the rewards packs from earlier events. I'm glad they include those know.

Personally I prefer facing Wood and Pedro to Nolan and Randy. I don’t know why, but those two are so much harder to hit, even on all star, than any one else. Maybe it’s all in my head, but I feel like I have to guess fast or slow, ball or strike with Ryan and Randy. With Wood and Pedro, on All Star, I can just relax and react

What I find odd about the event is the rewards this time. All of the extreme rewards are retro finest, and both the of the even rewards are finest. It makes me think you are going to need a ton of finest cards for the next collection. Or maybe they will have a reward just for collecting finest cards

My opinion, and I'm sure it will get flamed, is that this is why being able to select your pitcher was a bad idea.

But wait, what if you need to get stats for a certain pitcher and it's never selected.

Easy. Allow it for offline play (Mini Seasons, Conquest, Play vs CPU) and make selecting a pitcher in H2H random.

I agree with you 100%...you’re going to be flamed for this terrible take.
