Manager Says Steal Base

I get annoyed when I see that message show up when I'm in the minor leagues and my speed isn't high. That's just basically telling me to get tagged out. Then I get the scene where the manager talks to me about my poor stealing skills when really they're telling me to do it. THey tell me it doesn't have to be part of how I play (I forgot the exact wording) but they're the ones that push me towards it. Does anything happen if I don't follow them though? Like, I will steal when I think I'm confident enough to.

Don't quote me on this but I think you can ignore it... me being me I always go for the steal... surprisingly enough I've been safe on occasion... in the grand scheme of things I think it depends on if you want your BallPlayer to be a basestealer because the more successful you are at stealing bases you'll get those attributes improved... just have to ask yourself is your player in position to steal bases and if you want him to be a base stealer... eventually I think I'll return to the mode with Francis Money once I've had my fill of Madden Face Of The Franchise and hopefully get atleast one season in to prepare for MLB The Show 23.

I can confirm you can ignore it. Sometimes I have trouble picking up the pitchers delivery and usually after the first pitch they don't ask you to go a second time unless they are really wanting to avoid a double play.
