If this company isn't going to switch to dedicated servers

they need to implement a way to see your opponent's connection.
Just played probably the worst game, connection wise, I've encountered this year.
I knew when it took me SECONDS to select my SP; I should've back out.
Ball would CRAWL to the batter when pitched. When one of us would get a hit; the game would freeze for a second or two.
Finally in the bottom of the fourth, after I caught a fly ball in left field, the game finally said 'Enough' and froze on the throw back into the infield.
Quit shortly after that. Not worth the hassel.

It’s annoying but being stuck against a dial up user is worse. I learned my lesson too, if it’s laggy I back out.

It’s annoying but being stuck against a dial up user is worse. I learned my lesson too, if it’s laggy I back out.
Can they still connect if someone has Dial Up. And is Dial Up still available? Do you get a free MySpace page if you have Dial Up?

We all know you aren't going anywhere so why the theatrics in the title? You can vent without it.

The lag is unbearable sometimes. You have to feel out the pre-game screens while you can still back out in order to get a decent game. It's amazing to me, that this game still has such a bad online experience... it's been like this for years now. Maybe next year they will fix??? This game could be so much better if they upgraded there servers.

While my wife is watching the Bachelorette, I fire up a RS game in the background. I barely pay attention as the connection is usually pretty bad. My goal is to simply get through 9 innings. She'll say "is this any fun for you?" I'll say "No, but I get an Awards Bellinger if I just do this about 30 times".

Can't argue with that logic. Plus, I don't know which infuriates me more... RS or Rachel.

I am saying that it is funny what optimism brings every new release of the big sporting games. Give it a month and people will complain about why Madden sucks. The honest truth is that the top players in the game do not have the same limitations everyone else does and yet still manage to get a ranking about 1000.
My biggest problem with MLBTS isn't freeze offs or laggy connections. It is that a guy can bunt directionally to win a game when his bunt attribute is 12 and the guy pitching to him throws 100 mph + with movement. My problem is that the pitcher with a 50 field rating is Rey Ordonez and the fielder with a 85+ fielding rating is throwing the ball away to lose a game. I want the rating to mean something or be ignored.
But, I watched a bunch of Madden YT personalities play online today and they were laughing and complaining about stupid in game results.

I agree, bunting must be figured out or make the user move the pci to bunt. Pitcher wall has to go, diving plays need a huge nerf, foul balls too.
