Pm me your email address and I will send you a spreadsheet that specifies the program points.
I have one for each program.
Okay thanks... but how does that fix the issue I'm having? My issue isn't knowing what to do. I just totaled up everything I completed but I don't have all the stars I should have. PM incoming because I'm sure the spreadsheet is still helpful in attacking these programs.
You're missing something because all the points are available to unlock each stage and finish the program. Each stage is capped at the number of points you can earn.
I'm on the road taking my wife to the Sacramento airport so I can't sit down and analyze what you're missing, but the spreadsheet should outline it and help you figure out what you're missing.
Okay just looked at your spreadsheet and everything is accounted for that I completed which should give me 144 stars but I have 117... somewhere in there 27 stars weren't awarded/rewarded to me. I have all 92 stars from Stage 1 (or I should) and I should have 52 stars from Stage 2 based off what I have completed so far.

It's the collection. You only got 13 points because once you open stage 2, none of the extras carry over.
Read my post above
Best way to complete what you're doing and make some extra stubs in the process: rent
the players you have yet to unlock and complete the program which will net you 4 duplicates by the end. DO NOT COLLECT THE OPTIONAL 9 CARD COLLECTION. Sell back the 4 duplicates at the end.If not, you can still complete the program, just slower.

I think the thing that's throwing you off is, once you complete a stage, those points can no longer be accumulated so even if the mission finishes those points don't count. The big one that threw everyone off is the 40 point collection in Stage 1. If you did everything else in Stage 1, you would only need 13 points to get to Stage 2. So you complete the collection thinking you'll get 40 points but they cap you at 13, the rest are wasted points that do no accumulate or carry over. (Note: they adjusted this in the following months and made the collection 13 points total as it really was misleading).
You would now be at the beginning of Stage 2 amd only Stage 2 missions count now, Stage 1 missions are no longer valid.
The same will happen at 175 points. Once you open Stage 3, Stage 1 and 2 can no longer get you points.
Read Blind Bleeders spreadsheet, but just focus on the idea that Stage 1 points stop the second you open stage 2 and no extras carry over.
Even though the points stop, the next stage won’t open until you get enough points. So if he’s short points to get to the next stage then he missed doing something.
Thanks for kicking in and explaining what I couldn’t as I sit in the passenger seat winding through the mountains at 3 in the morning

Haha, sounds fun, have a safe trip. It's the collection. He's missing 27 points. He was only given credit for 13 because they cap it once you open stage 2 and the extra 27 don't carry over. My guess is he didn't notice it until once he was in Stage 2 and couldn't trace it back. It's very misleading and a lot of people complained so they adjusted in May and June.

Thank you and thank you @Blind_Bleeder, I was unaware that the stars capped and you are correct, I didn’t notice it until I got well into Stage 2… guess once I’m done with Taylor Ward I’ll see where I’m at and decide if I want to get Ty France and/or the pitchers from the market or wait til I finish the Hitters mission without France and see where I’m at then before deciding if I want to rent France and the pitchers after that… and yeah I’ll definitely wait to complete collection until I earn the actual packs in the program and just sell back any of the guys I buy going forward.
I started May Stage 1 when I got to April Stage 2, but focused on April when I saw that I was really grinding it. I’ll definitely pay closer attention to May when I go back to that program and June and July once I get started on those.

Good stuff. I think those end packs aren't sellable, so watch that too. If you want the spreadsheets for May and/or June, let me know.

May and June luckily are a bit more straight-forward. The same rules apply but they actually assigned the collection 13 points so people wouldn't feel cheated. The first month was basically saying, buy the cards now and you can skip a bunch of moments and get 40 points but nobody understood that and so most people, myself included, knocked out the moments and missions first only to find out that the points didn't care over.
You will never want to complete the optional collection. The required collection of 5 of course is exactly that...required for the points. But the optional one you're basically trading stubs for points because you can't sell those players and will be stuck with 4 dupes that are non sellable (the final cards are non sellable). Plus the points don't carry over so once you unlock Stage 3, same rules apply...no carry over.
Obviously do whatever you want and are comfortable with but the margins on Monthly players are pretty good. If you know how to flip cards, buy the ones you need and when you get the dupes at the end, sell them nack and make a tiny profit.
Luckily they aren't timed so if you're in no rush, then just take your time with it.

If I have the stubs for it I’ll prob rent players and sell back once I unlock the last four packs at which point the “completionist” would use those cards to complete the collection just cause. But yeah I’m holding steadfast to not buying stubs so going in the market is tougher for me cause I really used to go in on stubs from 2015-2019.

You'll already have the last 4 cards if you rent them. You win 9 total cards (not including Yordan and Sale). If you rent some in advance, how ever many you rent, you'll have duplicates for. If you don't mind going slow, no need to rent any of them. But I want to collect every card so trust me, you get them all.
But if you lock them in for the optional one just to complete it, make sure you earn the extras first or you'll get stuck with 4 worthless dupes worth about 80-100k stubs. The final 4 cards are non sellable.
Oh, final thought. When you hit Stage 3, there are only 2 mission each worth 10 points, but they are repeatable.

Thanks and yeah someone already gave me the heads up on that. Me being me and not diving into buying stubs like that this year I'll probably just gut it out. I think what I'll most likely do is alternate between picking pitchers and hitters the next go round that way I'm earning PXP for Hitters and Pitchers at the same time. For whatever reason for April (and May) I preferred the Hitters over the Pitchers and took all the Monthly Awards hitters first in the choice packs figuring that I'd unlock the pitchers at the end.... I don't know the month (I think its June) ws when I ws going to make an exception and unlock Taijuan Walker first and then the other hitters but yeah I might have to change my "Hitters first" strategy all together.
