Had to wait til Mid July to get some good programs in 22
-
Finally! After 3 mo of discouraging programs we finally are getting the mother-load here in the last few days for MLB 22.
Remember how every program in 21 was awesome? Those were the good ole days!
-
Every program was awesome in 21 for nothing more than to get you Xbox players hooked on the DD drug. Welcome back to how it normally is lmao
-
Yet you still had people complaining that the programs were "too easy", "the card(s) suck", yada yada. I think this year SDS went back to the old grind because of the complaints of the programs being too easy and the overpowered cards being released too early. Just my opinion.
-
Its set up the same way as every other program to release this year.
only thing different is the overalls on the rewards.
and if they would have released higher cards earlier there d be no lineup diversity and it would have been " this content sucks" on every release -

Really there is complaining every year. I’ve been playing since 16. I know others have been playing longer but I only discovered the forums in 18 and started posting in 20. Game forums are a “hive of scum and villainy” lol. Seriously, if you like a game don’t read the forums. It’s better to be ignorant and happy then aware and annoyed

I do agree with the OP to a degree. Last year because of TA, every major content drop was huge and lasted a long time to get through. However, the slow but steady build this year has definitely picked up steam and I find the grind more compelling. Mini Seasons is a huge improvement over extra Innings. The Monthly programs are a bit more complicated but as a result, I think it is also more fun and rewarding. I definitely enjoy the Monthly cards way more this year because I'm forced to use them and so many of them have been monsters. Bryan Reynolds, Kyle Schwarber, Jose Altuve, Pete Alonso, Varsho, Calhoun, not to mention the lightning cards which were great last year too. I also think the little touches like.- Lightning legends or flashbacks, the return of henchmen like in TA last year have made the last few months a lot more fun. I still miss TA in it's prior form but the game has closed the gap considerably for me. Especially this week.

No doubt. Forums are full of whiners. I’m only on here for the occasional tips lol. But I’m used to this type of grinding since I’ve been playing since 16 as well. I think the content releases have been good to great so far. But I also enjoyed last years content as well. I just think some first time players from last years game got spoiled with how easy everything was to obtain is all

No matter what sds does people will be in this forum complaining. No. Matter. What.
-
so we shouldn't call them out for anything? I bought this game so I have every right to 'complain'. Our 'complaining' or in general terms feedback can give SDS a better perspective of what the users are experiencing.

What's wrong w/ Easy? LIke I posted before, 21 was great for people who have jobs and families to support. It was perfect.
Not many people have time to put in hours into this game like this year's DD. Now if the programs the first 3 mo were enticing, I'd do my best to play as much as I could but they were duds and here we are 3 mo later.
-
This program is great? Really?
Jesus, this game is so stale, the hitting engine is so broken, and the overall lack of vision/creativity in DD is glaring. NOTHING this year is substantially different or better than last year. Every aspect of DD has been dumbed down -- who misses the ticket counter? -- and the changes to the market have obviously benefitted SDS's margins.
I haven't played much lately. It's just so [censored] boring. BUT I completed a few of the All-Star Program moments with the BP pitcher, and that cinched it. Good [censored] god, they can't even program a BP pitcher to THROW GOOD STRIKES. I have to foul off pitches to avoid [censored] WALKING AGAINST A BP PITCHER.
This year is a $hit$how. This game joins Madden for me next year as a game I won't buy unless it proves it cares about more than persistent monetization.
Atrocious.

I get what you’re saying as I prefer last years program model too. I’m just saying that “complaining” in this community goes full circle. Complain about this years game until next years game. Then complain about how the new game isn’t better than the last and wish SDS would go back. Repeat. This years game isn’t perfect at all but it’s definitely not the worst Show. That goes to 20

Officially uninstalled from both ps5 and xboxSx.
No innovation, neglect of franchise mode, boring DD structure, broken hitting engine, only concerned with expanding player base for monetization.
Sad. Looks like Madden might have done some things to franchise mode, so maybe I'll check it out in a few months when it's on sale.
Wish I could have gifted the 4 Trouts I pulled...

This is true. As a flipper it’s been far more difficult. I’m withholding judgement as a whole till I have more time to see if the free content and packs that I sell Iberia me the margins. I got a late start this year so I just started this month.

Oh knock yourself out. If you have issues make them known. All I’m saying is that people have been complaining for years because the things you like others don’t and vise-versa.
I’m easily assumed as I only play a few games and only have a few hours a week to play so I don’t notice it and I probably wouldn’t if I wasn’t on the forums.
I stand by this: if you like anything, movies, comics, video games and anything else…beware of going on forums because it could effect/affect your enjoyment.

That only the azz-pys are on and no baseball games....

I got to say I am very much enjoying the grind for this current program. When they make fun programs like this one with proven players and not nobodies I really don't mind grinding for the awards. Need more like this. 21 was like this every program. 22 needs to catch up now. But good stuff.
-
It was a rough stretch. Went from Phillies program, to Future Stars, to a rather boring Takashi program. The TA type programs are always the best. Even more so when it’s actually guys playing the majors.
