This isn’t a complaint thread but am I the only one feeling like the game is in a boring position right now? There’s really nothing to do other than play ranked seasons and grind the program. This event was OK but how many moonshot events are we going to have? They’re not really that fun.
I don’t know, I can’t really put my finger on it but the grind just isn’t what it used to be. Seems like the forums dead as well. Hopefully soon cool cards come out and we get a good event or something but I’m just playing to play at this point. Anyone else feeling the same way?
Yeah, I just grind events and then ranked when I have to. I think once Mantle and Hank drop they will bring more excitement to the game. They do need a new online game mode as the current modes are kind of played out imo. Yes its not the same, but I still have fun though.

I think the programs and such are mostly fine, my boredom comes from the fact that we haven't had a fun event in a month. Moonshot is just so tired at this point and the two before that were Bobby Miller fests

Well, it takes a special brand of people to do the same things over and over, year after year. Same reason I got burnt out on FPS, after playing from MW to BO2 to death, I've wasted money on some subsequent editions (skipped a few) until I accepted that it was me, not the games (probably the games a bit too).
I think what compounded the problem was the addition of a time limit for programs since last year; now you feel rushed and it's like having a second job. In prior years, if you slowed down a bit, you could come back to previous programs later. I switched back to franchise the last couple of weeks, but even that has been affected by mission overload of recent years.
I've picked up a Stephen King book and been reading a lot since Saturday; pondered playing last night to get as much XP before finishing the maps and everything to at least get the bosses. Nah; not close on the first. But with XB and Switch added the last 2 years, they won't miss you or me if we quit.

The forum is dead because so many of those who provide insight to the game have been banned for whatever reason. The interns have a quick hammer this year.
Yes, and a lot haven't felt the need to come back; and many I've seen the last 4-5 years are gone. Doesn't mean they don't play anymore, of course, but maybe less invested? It would make sense. And that's just DD; with they way they destroyed RTTS (good premise, bad development), it adds up.

Game plays like garbage which also doesn’t make people excited about playing it.

I'm usually an SDS defender, but I've been bored with this year's content since mid-May. It feels like there's just an overall lack of content, particularly offline. The programs that do get released are pretty much all identical. The city connect, monthly awards programs, and just grinding PXP with players you don't really want to use gets pretty boring after awhile.
To put it generally, it feels like there really isn't anything to work towards in the game. I want more cards or objectives that can only be rewarded by completing missions/programs and playing the game. Essentially everything in the game is sellable, which sometimes is nice, but it's hard to find the motivation to sit down and work through the event when you can just buy the reward for 10-15k stubs in the marketplace. I miss the Master XP reward path they had several years back. The bosses they had in '17 or '18 which were ultra-grindy were the complete opposite end of the spectrum, but I'd rather have too much to do than too little. And the TA programs last year at least kept us busy.
I have more issues with the game as well... the lack of content means a lack of stub-earning opportunities. This coupled with the overhaul of the quicksell values of cards has caused the marketplace to be totally dead. It isn't even fun to flip cards this year.
I hope this didn't come across as just a bunch of complaining, it's really just overall frustration. This is my favorite game to play each year -- I hate to say it, but it's boring right now.

I think there’s a few reasons for me:
-
TA being gone is a huge L. It makes DD a lot less intriguing after you get the bosses of the program. There’s just not much to work towards once those bosses are earned.
-
Lack of player programs. It feels like they cut back on these pretty dramatically. Didn’t these used to come out weekly? Now it’s only if there’s a holiday/new city connect/or just a program with packs that were already released.
-
I’ve been playing DD for 6-8 months a year since 17 (skipping 18). At the end of the day, you’re just not going to enjoy doing something as much when you do it this long. Especially when things are so repetitive. DD is basically the same as 21 just less engaging content and, in my opinion, much more RNG/leveling the skill gap. Probably time for me to go to an every other year approach like I do with Madden and 2K.

totally agree , last year seemed much better. DD

This whole year has been a drag. I normally try to flip cards and complete the LS, this year I'm way short and not trying.
The City Connect programs are a kinda who cares type thing. I've finished a few by default.
The monthly awards are long drawn out programs that you lose interest after week 2.
Conquests are super easy and I have them done in a day. These need to be revamped. They are such a wash, rinse and repeat borefest.
Overall DD needs a significant overhaul. It's become so stale and monotonous that why would I buy MLB to basically experience the same thing. -
I think with the new crowds on switch and C box they really tried way too hard to simplify things this year. Wasn’t a good idea….really hope it picks up at the all star break. It’s a shame when i have an hour or two to play but don’t wanna play RS…i browse the menu for 10 mins then turn it off
