RTTS HR Derby Rigged

HR derby for RTTS is so rigged. No matter how many home runs my opponent hits, the game always ensures I hit less, whether it be bc of a bad pitcher, or just not letting solid HR hits out of the park. I have restarted & restarted the game, but I fail every time, even though my power rating is 99+, and I have the most HRs in the league going into the derby. Total [censored]. Any one else have this issue?

Played in it twice..the guy I was against the first time hit 22 in the first round…I hit 21 and pulled the last four balls foul…the second time the guy I went against his 19…I hit 18…both times the guy I went against was beat out the next round because they only half what they hit against me…I just garner large amounts of hate in the home run contest from my opponents

So the only way I have found to win the derby is to switch to directional hitting and pull it up and in. Once I did that I have won all the derbys

I am having the same issue. My guy is stacked as well. Best hitter in the league with the most home runs and most hits and everything. Most of my hits are bombs out of the stadium. I get to the home run derby and my guy forgets how to hit??? Every single home run derby my guy becomes a tee ball player and forgets how to play. Every single hit is either infield or foul ball. They are mostly foul balls. I haven’t changed the way I play at all. Settings are the same and they aren’t even set to TIMING at all. The game is definitely rigged. Especially int RTTS where my team is like 80-14 and they play a team 14-80 and lose like 15-3??? This game is so rigged that I hope they hire some decent coders for MLB 23. Doubt it though.

I am playing on 20 and 21. In 21 I have not yet been invited to the derby as my CAP is more of a hit for average with a fair amount of homers, but in 20 I won two years in a row. However, most of the time I will get to the second round and come up short by 1 like most in this thread. My problem is that for some reason the first 4-5 hits always go foul. My CAP has a left handed power swing that causes a lot of Kingman like homers. They go very high in the air and take forever to come down. I probably lose 10 seconds per round waiting for the ball to come down.
I found that if you take your time out just after your energy hits yellow you finish stronger in the round.
