I know this has been talked about before but I'm really having an issue with the devs and the customer support.
So I am brand new to DD with The Show 22. I got into it about a week after I got the game, because I typically just do Franchise mode. I had played Home Run Derby offline without even knowing that I was suddenly walking into a bug where I would not be able to gain gameplay XP or stubs. So when I began to play DD I never received gameplay XP. I never once saw in that rewards screen that pops up after a game that I gained XP or stubs. It never really registered that I was missing out on XP because I was never fully grinding the game.
That changed with the new Program. I grinded it. I played 20+ games vs CPU in DD mode, I completed 2 conquest maps, 25 or so games in mini seasons and dozens of games in Road to the Show. I had 168k xp and it felt low considering I could see that none of that included gameplay xp. It was all from completing missions, moments, quests in miniseasons, etc etc.
I reinstalled the game and played for a few hours. Every mini season game was a loss of 1000 xp and some stubs. Every CPU game was somewhere between 4k-6k xp. And then xp from moments and RTTS I didn't get. Like I was able to calculate a loss of at least 200k xp.
This really took me out of the game because I was putting way too much time into 1M xp program and wasn't rewarded as the game is intended to reward someone. I don't know how to get a response from customer support 2 weeks later and it feels like they just don't care.
Have they ever compensated someone who has legitimately complained about this? I get that you can say I'm a bit of an idiot for not realizing I was getting screwed but I never knew about the bug, and I was never fussing about progress in a program until the current one.
What screen isn't showing any XP gain? Is it the first one you see, with the blue bar, after the game is over?
Or is it the second screen, when you hit R2 (or whatever it is for XBox) that says 'Progress' on it?
And are you playing on a next gen console?

Is it at least showing that you're obtaining stubs?

I filed a complaint with customer support. I was told they know about it but that was it.
I'm also playing it through Gamepass, but I've seen this no gameplay bug on here and on the reddit. The same issue from what I've seen is on Playstation too. That's how I found out about the bug lol. I literally looked up no gameplay xp and saw a few threads and posts. The answer was to reinstall, which I did and it worked.

Nothing against XBox or Switch players; but I noticed ALOT of these issues happened AFTER SDS went multiplatform.
The game still had issues, when it was only available as a PS title, but alot more since it went on the other consoles.
I think they shouldn't have allowed cross play/progression.
I may be incorrect; but I don't know of any other games that are cross platform that allow you to keep the same 'data'. But I only have a PS4; so I don't know that for sure.
Unfortunately you have to wait for SDS to respond.
Not that it's much help; but at least you didn't 'pay' for the game.

You DIDNT get XP for the timeframe from when you noticed UNTIL you reinstalled. And are getting it now?
Or you reinstalled and it stopped giving it again?
If you're getting the XP now, and am just wondering if they'll give you anything for the timeframe that you didn't get it, I don't think they will. Unfortunately that sucks.
So, just to reiterate, you are getting the XP now and just weren't for a certain timeframe?

I do understand your dilemma about them not compensating for lost XP.
But they would need to know who all exactly lost XP and with there being tens of thousands of players playing this game; that would take awhile to do and by the time they compensated you; it would be another program and then people would complain that you got 'extra XP'.
Not making excuses for them; just saying that some people would say that.
If I remember correctly the only time(s) they compensated anyone for issues in their end was when they gave out packs and stubs for the horrible servers the first few months of, I think it was, 20.
Then I think they gave something like around 50K in XP to everyone because something messed up another year; but I'm not 100% on that one.
Yeah, they would have to do it as a whole and not per person/account.
Unfortunately that's is just the way they handle any issues.
They don't even give back any wins that may be lost due to server issues.
Again, not making excuse, but I wouldn't doubt that there is something in the long TOS agreement you have to agree to before you can play the game that states they aren't responsible for any issues that are outside of their control.
Not arguing with you or saying you're wrong to feel the way you do; but if you don't want to play this game, or any other future release, because of this issue; that is your right.
I will say that if more people actually boycott a company's games, due to issues like this, then that may help them realize that they do need to get their ducks in a row.

You aren't right about that. Companies do give compensation on a person by person basis because that's preferable, except for ignoring it all together. It's pretty standard actually that if someone brings up an issue and argues their case well that they'll be compensated. This didn't impact everyone, it can but it didn't. It's different than the server issue you mentioned. because that's a wide ranging issue that actively impacted everyone. It was something they couldn't ignore.
I will also say that this is in their control. They do know about this issue. They've known about it for a long time and I can prove it. They've just tried to keep it under the rug.
