Why don’t they show the opponents PCI placement?
-
What’s the point in hiding it? This is a serious question that maybe SDS can explain their reasoning.
-
So you dont know where they set up.

I’m referring to after the swing. Obviously this would expose directional hitters, is that the reason?

It used to show and we’d complain that no way that should be a hit, so sds hides it now.

If I recall it was a big reason for lag/disconnects in 17 as well

Bc it would let you know what they can and can’t get too. Also it would expose someone who doesnt move the pci at all and just center swings. Just gotta rely on what info we get.. and we all know the only thing that’s worth anything is timing.

Interesting. Instead of making hitting good, they just hide the trash.

If it showed my pci placement, it would probably expose that I have trouble with low pitches because I keep my pci high, they would start to notice I'm not getting good pci placement on low pitches.
Now you could argue that the quality of contact/at-bats on those pitches also gives it away, which would be correct, and any smart player would already know that. But lesser skilled players may not notice it, so why give them the opportunity to?
Atleast that's how I reason it, I could be way off.

PCI feedback is broken and useless, the sooner people realize this and ignore it, the sooner they will stop complaining about hitting.

Does SDS know it’s broken and useless? If so, why in the world do they keep putting a broken and worthless thing in the game every year?
They even upgraded a broken and useless thing to include the whole PERFECT feedback.

Because there's precedent, after all they keep putting Jordy Mercer in the game. I kid Tigers fans!

If you can't personally tell its broken and useless when you hit a just early /slightly rolled feedback homerun, but the ball sounds squared up off the bat then I don't know what to tell you.
-
They more than likely put the perfect/perfect graphic in to shut people up who clearly only use the PCI feedback to determine whether they deserved a hit or not.
-
I ignore the PCI feedback and guess what?, I enjoy the game, I am not on here night and day complaining about "broken hitting".
so in conclusion, maybe instead of attacking anyone trying to give you advice, you should actually listen to it.

Right? I turned it off last year. People are obsessed with the feedback, but it’s inaccurate and irrelevant to an extent anyway. Batted ball outcomes are what will win and lose games. If I hit a home run and the feedback says early/okay it’s still a home run. Likewise, if I lineout and the feedback says perfect/perfect, I’m still out.
Having optimal swing timing feedback won’t win you the game. I have people on my friends list who tire me with complaints about giving up hits and runs on early swings. Of course you give up hard hits on early swings. It’s called pulling the ball.
