Current mini season

I don’t know what is going on but the competition in this new mini season is tough. It’s a sweaty grind. I’m still winning but it’s usually only by a run and often in extra innings. I don’t get it. I don’t usually have any trouble. Hitting has been tough. Hit right at fielders, not getting much exit velocity. Sometimes it feels like I’m right on pitches and I end up swinging right though them
Anyone else dealing with this?

Are you doing the bronze hitters mission on veteran? If so, keep in mind that the opposing pitchers are mostly high Diamond vs your bronze hitters
-
I feel the same thing. Even on rookie with full diamond team I feel like the new seasons have been harder than the last few weeks. I'm barely getting wins sometimes and opposing batter are getting stupid hits out of the zone and fielders are making stupid gold glove plays with silver fielding.

Agreed completely and it certainly dosn't help when the Whales and Cats have every good player (Frank Thomas off the bench). Unless i build a 5 run lead i'm very nervus.
The current run i'm doing the Tokyo Kaiju's are 0-15. I've never seen a team go 0-28 but it could happen lol.

No doubt that would be part of it, but this is not good. Something is different for me. I don’t usually have this much trouble. And I’m using FOTF hitters when I’m playing the AS level gold pitcher wins.

I know they are taking other peoples DD teams (supposedly) but I actually wish they changed up the teams a bit more. Just have an algorithm to create the teams. One god squad, one mid tier, one bad, one pitching heavy, one hitting heavy, etc. and change it up every now and then so we’re not seeing the same team. Wouldn’t think like it would be that hard. It’s also crazy when the Whales and Cats have the good team and they are also all P5ed (assuming said person has them that way.)
I also wonder if we all see the same teams or if they reset each new season or each season new run. Like the London team in my current season has Jackie Robinson at catcher. Anyone else have that?

I hate to add to the usual complaints. That’s not what this is meant to do and I don’t usually worry about it too much. But this season, in particular, really feels like I’m not getting exit velocity with good PCI placement, ball is going right at fielders or I swing through pitchers when it feels I’m right on them.

I was thinking that my age is catching up to me all at once, so glad to see that it may be a slider adjustment on the back end... I'm playing on All Star this run through, and I'm only 8-6 (on that level, I had been finishing seasons with as many or fewer losses). Players I've been crushing it with are sometimes swinging right through pitches with timing just on the early side of perfect, but those players also have less than stellar Vision ratings (Robert, Witt Jr., Dunn). I use analog timing, so I'm wondering if that's playing a larger role in swing-and-miss determination now.
Honestly, I love it. It's harder, and that's what I want; I'm probably in lonely territory on this, but I like to see real-ish baseball results, and sometimes you just plain swing through it, and not every well-timed, squared up ball is a no-doubt HR. Anyway, it's a welcome change from my perspective... just wish they'd offer a choice of 5 inning games and include a season-stats page. I'd buy a hundred dollars in stubs just to say thanks

I just finished a season today and I only lost 2 games during normal season, which were against the super team and were quits since I didn't want to put in the effort, but I swear the playoffs were the hardest games I've played all year. Every single game went into extra innings and I almost lost both series. I don't know what happened but early in the season the game feels super easy and I'll win by 10 but end of the season and playoffs feel like the difficulty you select means nothing.

I agree. Even the first mini season was stressful. I only played it for the Longoria card. It’s just not worth the hassle. Showdown is less stressful than mini seasons, IMO.

The Cairo Cats are my nightmare. The best 25 players in the game, all P5d
