Friendly Quit: Event Game: Opponent picked FOD and had Anime Randy

There was a conversation yesterday about when would you accept a Friendly Quit.

Pretty much people stated that an Event game isnt one of them.

Well, my recent opponent in an Event game had Anime Randy on the mound and he picked the FOD stadium.

I was tempted to offer a Friendly Quit just to see what he would do; but I decided to wait and see how it played out.

Well, naturally it was a lag fest from the first pitch; but because he threw more balls than strikes, I lucked out a score a run.

On to bottom of the 1st with me winning 1-0.

Now he was a free swinger so he pretty much didn't do a thing.

Then he proceeds to send me a Friendly Quit in the top of the 2nd.

I thought about it; but just set my controller down and waited for him to cancel the request or run out of pause time.

He cancelled it and then proceeded to quit.

Now, would anyone have accepted that request up 1-0 in the 2nd?

Or as I stated earlier; are Events 'fair game'?

No.they chose a lagfest stadium with an already difficult to hit pitcher made even worse by the lag, then wanted to erase it when you wouldnt quit out and got the better of them.

Is this a thing? Picking 88 Randy and FOD? I matched up with someone in RS with that same combo.

I would never accept a friendly when I’m winning. And I haven’t really experienced that much lag at FOD yet. I’ve noticed it being a little choppy while fielding, but nothing that would actually effect performance.

Its motion blur.and it ranges from almost unnoticeable to bad enough you feel nausea and dizzy. its not constant either, changes in intensity and your eyes cant adjust to it.
