All star difficulty is the absolute tragedy that needed to have foul tips adjusted. If I see another cutter almost clip the hitter's no no square get fouled off with that bogus swing animation, I'll stab my eyes out.

They’re still a compete joke
Throwing balls in the dirt as low as I can. You can hear the catcher going to his knees to block it. Opponent swings very early and still tipping off those pitches time after time
The Do Overs are still here

I hadn’t had a chance to play yet but you’re absolutely right they changed nothing. They honestly look pathetic rn with the state of the game.

Still, I see what you're all talking about the few times I venture online. Foul ball fests, superhero diving catches, late comebacks. I was losing a game 7-0 the other day and only stayed in for the PXP and because my opponent was playing fair and just wayyyy better. Anyway, I couldn't hit a lick the whole game and then in the 3rd (BR game) I scored 3 runs. Still lost of course but I didn't all of a sudden become patient and discerning to string together 5 or 6 hits. The pitches just sat in the middle of the plate. Maybe that was my opponent throwing me a bone. Very possible....but still it's suspect.

My biggest gripe with fouls balls, no matter if it’s against a great player or a terrible one, is that they’re essentially do overs
Yeah some pitches are fought off, I get foul tips are obviously part of the game.
But when a pitch is so far in the dirt, or a good amount outside the zone, and your opponent keeps swinging early and very early, those should never be foul tips yet they always are
And if that’s happening against a good player, it just extends the AB and can lead to a huge hit that they never should have had a chance to get
For the love of God SDS please remove the outer PCI. Literally no reason or purpose for it other than to bail out lesser skilled players with foul tips
I honestly think if the outer PCI was removed, foul tips would be resolved but that seems to be too hard for SDS, or, they want to keep casuals interested to drive revenue
Just sad what this game has become and the obvious route we’re headed down
No way I’m buying 23 until I read reviews on this forum from experienced players

I do know it is easier to foul off a pitch using circle or contact swing, The only buttons that should be aloud to swing with is x or Square IMO. I agree to many foul balls on pitches in the dirt or way off the plate. some get hit for HR's

The only 100% solution that would work is to shorten the timing windows. But that would make the game unplayable vs 98mph sinkers and outliers.
What they COULD do is go back to the pre-20 single PCI, which was a combo of contact and vision. Nobody complained/asked for the double PCI. Keep the middle diamonds, who cares. Then if a pitch grazes the PCI it’s a tip, other than that, see ya.
