It needs a small bump. Look at the mlb doubles leaders by season

2015 Michael Brantley
2016 David Ortiz
2017 Jose Ramirez
2018 alex bregman
2019 Nicholas castellanos
2020 freedie freeman
2021 jd Martinez
And so far this year Matt Olson and Yuli are tied

My point is none of these guys are burners, jram has a little speed, but the rest would be considered some of the slower players. Also Brantley used to run a little better.

As the game is now these guys would get thrown out at second on a ball off the wall, or a liner down the line more times than not.

New program is awesome, really having a good time playing the game!

Most power guys will end up hitting many doubles because these are all the balls hit that were short of a homerun & hit the wall or the warning track dirt. Most speed guys are the 1's that legs out triples or gets more singles & rely on SB's to be the pace setters in hopefully starting a rally.

Yeah that's true. And after I posted I was thinking it is kinda nice having outfielder arms matter more this year. Oh well throw away post by me, can't all be winners.
