freeze offs

they need to find a way to award the team already winning to get the win other than whoever stays connected longest.
it would be like how they award the winning team the W when the weather cancels the rest of the game IRL
cant believe people will go hours or even days just to get that win instead of playing the next game -
I’m up 3-2 in the 9th right now. Not a chance I let this guy get this free win. I’ll leave it on for a month if I have to. It’s a matter of principle at this point. If people would just quit when they’re down and this happens you wouldn’t have this problem. But I agree with you. Implement something that rewards the leading team the win if it’s after the 5th or something. Instead my PlayStation may break because I’m stubborn.

Actually tonight I had a freeze off and a game where a guy quit on me after a homerun but instead of it saying opponent disconnected, it just went into the game as if you are playing the cpu but they don’t field balls or throw anything else besides a fastball so I scored four runs off that quitter

I agree, but SDS implementing this system would be an official admission that freeze-offs are indeed still a huge issue that the company hasn't remedied for years.
D-E-D-I-C-A-T-E-D S-E-R-V-E-R-S please. Or if you're too cheap despite having the game on PlayStation, XBOX, and now Switch, implement a system where it's a friendly quit before the 5th inning and a win for the team leading after 5 innings.
