The warning track outs with good PCI placement and timing is bringing back memories of 18. Unless they fix this issue, this game will go down on par with 18 if not worse.
This game has every issue the previous ones had
18 and 19 were auto outs on good hits.
20 was the perfect pitch down the middle.
21 was non PCI cheese.
They haven’t improved on any of these issues and instead gave us a game with all of them in one. Why aren’t we supposed to blame the game when we do everything right but nothing happens? Can anyone explain that to me cause this game makes no sense.
-
hasn’t been a decent hitting engine since 17 and even then we had the ridiculous issue of late hits generating 110+ exit velos. but at least the game consistently rewarded good pci placement

100% with you. Gameplay online is terrible at best

A streamer last night was incredulous. Didn't catch the stream, but just saw at the end when he was shaking his head saying "the game is in a garbage state," or something like that. Apparently he kept blasting the ball for outs. That's been my experience too.

17 reward good pitching as well, 17 was the best year for pitching.

It’s unfortunate that every year the game gets more popular but the gameplay keeps regressing.

I really think the 125 overalls hurt the game. I do not think it will ever go back to 99 overalls

Playing BR. It's so bad.

I actually went 12-1 in one run and got DeGrom. Don't ask me how, I have no idea. I lost my 3rd game so was 2-1. There were some pretty bad runs earlier though. Gonna try again. Doing something with network to hopefully help with the lagging warping pitches. Seemed good last night but the weekend will be a much better test. Last weekend was laggy af.

One game I hit 6 homeruns, the next I pop up on everything.

It’s gotta be intentional by SDS, right? There’s no way they spent the whole “offseason” and never tested the game to realize it would play like this.
My only thought is they’ve done this to get new switch users and casuals to stick around. Even the worst players can go .500 in events / RS etc right now.
I bet in a month they’ll patch hitting so keep their dedicated long-term skilled player base. By then the casuals will have already left / play less.

I get that a lot. No idea how I went on that run. Lot of 2-1 games. Especially the way balls like to leak out over the middle like what was that year? 20?
I lost my HOF RS game yesterday and literally had a dozen good swing balls well within the PCI. First HR was barely touching it. 3 double play's on balls really close to center pci. Good news is I was seeing the ball good yesterday. Now, if I can just get rewarded.

change your diaper and go do something else. sick of the whining.

It feels like a carbon copy of 18 to me.

I truly believe the game for the most part is coded correctly and probably plays great in the studio. I think their problem lies with connections/servers and how to adjust for them. How was I instantly matching with people on the east coast over 1,000 miles away? Who in their right mind thinks that makes for a good experience? I am hoping I have a solution but it costs me $100. Well worth it if it works.

No doubt in my mind it’s intentional. Gameplay has taken a back seat to player retention…most other UT games are already on that path, SDS is just catching up.

Criticize gameplay all you want, but please take your silly conspiracy theories somewhere else. Or you know, get a life or something.

First they came for COD, then 2K. Now the show has fallen to the way of RNG MADNESS. it’s sad

Gaming companies wanting to retain players is a conspiracy theory?
