Equipment not applying attribute increases

So I'm a SP in RTTS and I applied a fielding glove to my loadout that says Hits +7 and yet in the game there is no attribute increase. Anyone else having this issue with equipment attribute increases?

Exact same deal, shelled out for a diamond glove on the market to give me +11 H/9 and the bonus isn't applying. Cool to find out I wasted 16K stubs for nothing.
