Frank Thomas, Clemente, Randy Johnson 99’s
-
For those of you with the live series collection done, any early reviews on these cards?
I’m hoping Clemente Plays like 99 Jackie did last year, but he doesn’t have the speed to make up for it if his contact hitting doesn’t show up.
I’m not great with Frank the Tank, but I’ve never read the sample size I will now that he’ll be my 1B for a while once I get him.
Randy - I’m hoping they made him elite!!

all 3 have been great for me so far.

Sorry, don't have them, but they're going to dominate at this point in the cycle.
Just don't think Clemente and Frank match up with Papi and Soriano from last year. And Randy's H/9 will mean he won't last the full cycle for many like Chipper did.
-
Randy has been great for the early game, but once hitters start all hitting 100+ contact he may not be as good.
Frank has been solid.
Clemente has not been good for me. Could be a personal error but he is hard to hit with and he has made errors in the outfield.
Overall, Randy and Frank are worth it. Clemente I would say is not.

I'm not thrilled about the collection rewards, but I disagree. Frank= Papi. Clemente is better than booty cheeks Soriano. If they don't release the no-hitter cards this year(they shouldn't imo), Then Randy's H/9 is fine

That's fair. But I know a lot of people preferred Papi to maxed-out Frank last year -- stances, handedness, etc.

Papi was better because he was a lefty (majority of pitchers are righty). Soriano was better due to speed.
Chiller blows randy out of the water. Chipper was arguably my best player all year.

On the bases Clemente isn't the fastest but the fielding rating actually modifies speed in the outfield and he flies. He gets to everything.
