The bad thing about the FOTF Cards

Other than one being sellable and the other being non-sellable; I would've liked them both to be one or the other. But that's not what this thread is about.
My issue is that I bought all the LS Chicago White Sox because I wanted Durham and all the Red Sox to get Youk.
I also pulled LS Realmuto early in the release so I had him at Catcher until I got Grandal.
I also selected Baez as my Cover Athlete so I was pretty set at SS.
My four non sellable FOTF cards were Lindor, Murphy, Mullins, and Cronenworth.
All four in spots where I already have a Diamond player that was bought.
So, they're either bench bats or I put them in my lineup and put the LS cards on the bench.
Oh and I'm about 75% done with the USA Conquest Map; so we can soon add Piazza to the mix.
Bro those cards will be out of most lineups in a couple weeks. They are just started diamonds. Don't get too concerned with the overall rating and flashy blue diamond. Look at Franco and lindor for example. They are average across the board but their overall is a 90. Those cards are buns. I think the bullpen cards are the best and will have the most longevity online. If anything they will be part of a bigger collection down the road. Grandal is a beast. I pulled that fotf tryout and don't even use him. They butchered his hitting. It's cool to use live series cards that don't have a good diamond already though.

Piazza is an extreme amount worse than both Grandal and Murphy imo so I wouldn't worry about him at least

Agreed. The real prize from conquest is CP Kerry Wood…a filler in the pen for sure until better arms arrive.
Great move in completing the White Sox collection though. That Ray Durham card is a unsung hero amongst the potential collection rewards. CWS is only 1 of 2 collections I made a bee line to finish.

Isn’t the game more fun with multiple rosters? I personally don't like the God squad concept. Playing with the same 8 guys in a lineup would get so old. That's one of the main reasons I'm bummed about the program change because as a mostly offline player, I like switching out my lineups and rosters. Ironically, it's the changes that are making me use players I'd never use. Try creating a roster on each of your 4 tabs and see which one works the best. The card collecting isn't so much fun if you only use 1 at every position.
Obviously different strokes and all but since you posted it, I imagine you were looking for some input.

I understand what everyone is saying. On one hand it's great to have 'free' Diamonds this early in the games lifecycle.
On the other hand, it's not. Lol
And yes, they'll eventually be needed for collections. And I'm sure they'll flood the game with free packs later on. I'm just wondering if it's better to just sell the ones I can and use the stubs towards the LS Collection.

You don't like the god squad effect because you play offline. Events in Battle Royale give a huge mixture of online lineup differences. Rank seasons is usually God squad but God squad continually evolves throughout the year as better cards become available. For example the live series collection rewards will probably be irrelevant in a month or two except for Randy johnson.

I totally get that. Of course if you're playing RS only, you wanna put your absolute best team on the field. I guess I still would get tired of that really fast which is partly due to the fact that I would lose 75% of the time without hitting much. Still, it just seems to me that one of the best aspects of this game is the crazy amount of cards and legends we get to use. Might as well take advantage.
And obviously today's god squad is completely different next month and the following.

Just to give you an example of someone like me who plays almost strictly online unless there's offline grinding to be done for a program or something. Last night I did the face of the franchise program conquest where you have to beat like 10 teams. I made a team of all dodgers players and a team of all Diamondbacks players so I can knock out that City connect Jersey program at the same time. It was like going to the dentist with how miserable that was. It reminds me of MLB the Show 18 with my numbingly boring and easy offline gameplay that is totally not fun and I am doing it just for XP or a couple of cards for my collection. I would so much rather play events or Battle Royale or rank seasons. Obviously to each their own I understand that but what you are explaining is totally not for everybody and I understand what I enjoy is not for everybody as well.

Of course, and that's what makes this game solid is that there are things that appeal to everyone. I can understand offline grinding isn't everyone's favorite. I only enjoy the playing games part and yeah, building an all Dbacks team would be excruciating.
I'm guessing you've played this game for several years. Last year was my first and so I tried RS and most times I'd either get shutout or score 1 on a fluke. Meanwhile I'd strike out 24 times. That is no fun. Of course, I'd need to stick with it to improve but uts insanely hard to complete these programs when you never score of win. Of course, after a while, crushing the Rockies on rookie 31-0 is also repetitive. But at least I get the Shiney packs that way hahaha.
Late in the season once I'd collected every card, I started playing BR and had a lot of fun doing that. I love the draft portion and the missions and shockingly enough my online play improved. Of course I was facing silvers and golds instead of Nolan and Degrom. But still, it's definitely more fun to play a super competitive game instead of a blowout.
I'm sure in a year or two I'll have made the switch to primarily online, hopefully I'll be be good enough.
My main point was more, having fun changing out your rosters. I'm a super baseball history nerd and so I have a blast making theme teams. I kept my 6 division based rosters (all God squads) rom TA5 for the rest of the year, adding a few of the best Finest. To me, highlight of DD is the fantasy aspect of playing as these all time greats. But if I ever make it to World Series or 12-0....or 6-0....or...you get the idea....yeah would be a lot of fun too.
Anyway, like you said, we all enjoy different things and I'm definitely not suggesting my way is better. I've tried that with past girlfriends and never enjoyed the result.

FOTF Carson Kelley was a big surprise for me, has a great swing and good power, Only used Him offline in CQ on Vet. He crushes the ball.

Gibson will be in my lineup until he gets a 99 and if he does not get a 99 He will be in my lineup in he is P5.
