Are all the lost connections when searching from opponents from matching up with Switch users?

I'm just taking a guess. I can't be the only one losing connection during the search for an online game. Maybe create a stadiums? I'm on PS5 and thinking about turning off cross play.
Thoughts? I'm playing at Wrigley and Date Palm. Nothing special.
