The biggest risk is that SDS is running the risk that I’ll burn the entire universe to ashes if I have to skip through that obnoxious tutorial one more time.

That's what it really is. And you don't really need to play Risk (I don't) to enjoy it. Once you get the hang of it, which isn't really that hard, it's fun. I managed to get through the Mother's Day one and I didn't think I would.
