L2 Button to track the ball in play when player locked

Is it just me or does this not work? I played a few moments and it would not track the ball after hitting to the outfield. It just stayed on my base runner.

Thanks for the heads up. I can’t stand running player locked and not being able to tell where the ball actually is in the OF.
