Will there be any final offline content?

We still have a handful of legends and a few months (or more) before MLBTS 22. Do you think we have any new content left, any more cards to be revealed or is the shop closed on this season.
Still missing:
Kirby Puckett
Warren Spahn
Harmon Killebrew
Don Sutton
Ron Guidry
Juan Marichal
Shane Victorino
Tim Salmon (I know he had an awards card but Lofton just poked a huge hole in that logic so why not?I'm sure there are others.

There may be an Event or two that could possibly have a few if this guys included; but I doubt there is any new offline content.
We would've had RIB2 by now; if they planned on releasing it.
Even though nothing can be released until the CBA is signed; they're probably in full 22 mode.

Also, unless the update the screen, like they did with the last three RS and BR seasons, with any news of other Events after the start of the second part of the current event; one could probably safely assume that they'll probably have a Forever Event after the one that starts tomorrow.
I could see them making it a TON of wins and including some of those missing cards in the reward path.

I admittedly don't fully understand the legal nuances of this deal and how it would impede SDS in releasing 22. However, I've heard dueling opinions on this and am hopeful it is true that SDS can move forward with the game because they have a seperate agreement.
The thing that doesn't make sense is: if SDS were not allowed to use nor promote MLB players' likeness due to a lack of CBA, why hasn't MLBTS 21 been scrubbed? Why are they allowed to sell and promote this game which has Tatis on the cover and every active player along with legends and flashbacks in the game?
I would assume if they were forbidden to use that material, this and every previous Show would have to be scrubbed of content like the websites.
And if it doesn't extend to this current iteration of the game due to some odd contractual loophole, why can't SDS just do The Show 22 as a DLC to the current game , charge the price of the new game and provide all new content as an extension of this game that clearly they are allowed to use and promote. Why were Pujols, Eloy Jimenez, Trea Turner, Bryce Harper and so many other active players released as cards for this game after the agreement expired if they aren't allowed to use or promote their likeness? Wouldn't that be a breech?
I believe the reason is, they do have a seperate agreement and are well within their rights to just market and sell the new game unimpeded. We shall see.

There are two licenses as many others talked about...One for MLB and one for MLBPA...The game has both...so the game could still be released even though the players cannot be on MLB property nor can teams have communications with the players, but the video game is not MLB property...SDS's MLB license would have the rights to have the stadiums and club names and logos while the MLBPA license gives the SDS the rights to use the names and likenesses of the players...The lack of a CBA between those two sides do not have an effect on SDS.
If you look at the team websites, you would see they still have all the roster names as it was just prior to the lockout but they removed the photos. However, SDS having both licenses, they would still be able to use the photos and likenesses.
In the end, this will be resolved prior to the start of the season I am sure since most issues are agreed upon and only a couple left to be resolved. History is also on the side of the lockout ending sooner rather than later as seen here.

Ok, so if the lockout won't affect the release of the game why no announcement of the cover athlete? Why no notice in pre-order info?
Did they have pre-order streams for 21?
If so, when where they?
I know 21 was delayed because of cross play; but when did they start promoting the game last year?

This is my first year playing DD so I'm not sure but my guess is: despite being able to move forward, they are allowing the lockout to influence their announcement of the new game.
What @dap1234567890 posted makes sense to me, but like you, I'm wondering why they haven't communicated anything about the new game. Today is the last day on the current schedule. When they update the calendar
if nothing progressive happens, I'd suspect you're right. But I'm hopeful that what @dap1234567890 is saying is accurate and they're just a bit behind.

The Tech Test (Beta Test) for MLB The Show 21 was the last week of Feb.
The very first preview video SDS released for '21 was on 1 Feb. They had released a few videos after that, then on 11 Feb. they released the video with info on the Tech Test. The "Feature Premiere" video series started on 11 March.
So, SDS is not behind the schedule of last year's video releases.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if SDS delay the videos if the lockout continues into Feb. as that would not be the wisest choice if they do not wish to annoy the MLB and MLBPA (in my opinion).
And one last thing...SDS, MLB, and the MLBPA are in the business of making money, so allowing SDS to release the game would be a win-win-win situation where everyone gets paid! They all lose quite a bit of cash if the game does not get released!

Ok, so you're saying that SDS has a license with the MLB to produce the game and a license with the MLBPA to use player likenesses, stadiums, logos, etc.
But if the MLBPA and the MLB are is a lockout wouldn't that keep SDS from releasing the game even though they have seperate licenses because the two that they have are technically fighting each other?
Couldn't the MLB say; 'Hey, even though you have a license with the MLBPA to show player likenesses in your game: we don't want you using them as long as the MLBPA and us can't come to agreement.'? And vice-versa?
I know in a other post you said that all three have financial stake in the game releasing; but couldn't one party play the part of 'the bad guy'?
IE: The MLBPA and MLB are a mother/father thinking of getting a divorce. SDS is their child.
Or am I over thinking this while thing right now?

There's always a possibility for one side to want screw over everyone (to include themselves). However, large sums of money is a pretty convincing reason for them to work together. There's also a possibility that MLB and MLBPA will never to come to an agreement and they get "replacement players" like was once threatened. However, if we look at history, the money to be gained by all will bring them together at some point (and usually been sooner rather than later).
