I made a post recently regarding my opinion on the game in it's current state in an online environment. I was able to capture an absolute gem, I would appreciate some feedback from a developer on what I can do better to achieve good contact.

Clearly your PCI is too close to the center. Here’s an example of what it should look like:

I’m tempted to put /s but I’m only slightly joking. Also, this was a home run

Wow, I actually hit quite a few of those and they're all weak flyouts on good/okay as well.

It's weird. Before this one, all of mine were good/okay as well. But after this, I had 2 more similar PCI placements that both ended up good/good. Guess the RNG was in my favor those couple of games

Comparing the two screenshots is funny. The better PCI placement results in a worse contact result and lower exit velocity...makes sense! Lol

Your screenshot means nothing without video tbh. “Good” timing is so large of a window that there’s no way of knowing how good your timing actually was. I’ve had those as well but typically my timing hasn’t been great and quite honestly I’m not sure why it gets labeled as “good” other than to keep people whining about “just late” hits like they did in 17.

OP, I’ve squared balls up even more center than that and have gotten good/okay. Game is garbage Rn

This one is borderline imo, but there are so many good/okays where the PCI placement is literally perfect. If you square it up and are still within the "good" timing range, that should result in AT LEAST good/good

Yeah I can see both sides. I just have a hard time getting upset when someone jams me inside and I swing on the late side of “good” for a fly out to CF and get “okay” contact.

Understandable. I'm not saying a flyout isn't justified in that scenario, just that it should still be a good contact result. May seem trivial, but its just the concept of keeping it consistent

Even if you hit that with 0/0 C/P there's no reason for a negative velo on that lmao

It was a LHP against Nolan Arenado. I was all over it.
