Ok. This is strange

Got stuck in a freeze off last night/this morning at roughly 3am EST.
Was winning so I wasn't quitting.
As of two hours ago, my opponent was still waiting it out.
I just turned in the tv to see if the game was still frozen and it gave me the 'opponent has lost connection' message.
Yet, when I exited out of that screen it stated that the game wouldn't count because it registered as a Friendly Quit.
How could that happen? Server issues?

It doesnt say that. It says "if the game ended in a FQ then it wouldnt count as a win or loss.
