Does SDS usually keep players around the rating that they were at during the end of the previous season; when they release the new game?
IE: Will Yelich start off as a Bronze or will the possibly boost him back up to Diamond?

The way they played in real life at the ending of the season is how their card is currently being rated & is how their card will start in MLBTS 22. Only difference is the team if they were traded or signed in the off season 1 month prior to spring training. SDS will update that card on its new proper team. Then after the 1st roster update is realeased for 22 is when it will reflect ups/downs in card class based on how that player preformed in real life up to that point.

I don’t think that Yelich will start as a diamond; but, if he starts the season off hot, they will likely boost him back up.
