Suggestions??

Let me start by saying, as I always do...this was my first season playing DD. I played on postseason mode last year and decided for the first time since I was in Junior High to buy a video game console specifically for this game.
That said, I have enjoyed this experience a great deal and not only do I want to continue playing for the remainder of the game cycle but I will most certainly be buying next year's.
I am aware of all the complaints of online gameplay, bad servers, freeze offs etc but for the most part that hasn't effected me because I am simply not good enough to compete online.
Ok, I have two main points.

I'm out of offline content, so what mode would you suggest for improving my ability online without wanting to put my head through a monitor?

What other video games would you recommend? I love the missions, reward paths, collections etc. And while I know it's hard to compare other genres to a baseball game, I've heard many games have similar features like collecting, mission based journeys etc.

If you're not worried about your record; Events is a good mode. 3 inning games. Even if you lose, it won't affect any ranking. But it is a mode that requires you to use specific cards.

If you’ve gone through all of the conquest maps, showdowns, and player programs, take a look at the daily mission the inning offers. Typically you need to use a pitcher or players from a specific team to play a game. I play them against the CPU. I have been surprised how good some of the cards are that I’ve needed to use for the missions. It’s fun using cards you’ve collected along the way but haven’t really played with.
Playing these games is also a good way to get the XP you need to finish the inning. In addition, you can throw some of you favorite cards in there that you want to level up on PXP and get them up to P5.
If none of that sounds fun, there is extra innings, franchise mode, and road to the show. All of this is offline, so you don’t have to worry about goofs pulling some kind of antic because they don’t like the way you play.
If you want some extra juice in franchise, create a player and max them out. Then you can slam HRs at will, or create a maxed out pitcher and throw some perfect games.
There is a ton of fun stuff to do offline. Enjoy!
