Stamina in this game does not make sense

So let me get this straight, a pitcher can still throw 102 mph after throwing 110+ pitches but he pitches one inning and the opponent quits, his stamina is empty. Seriously?

It's absolutely necessary unfortunately for pitchers to lose that much stamina even in a quit, otherwise we get starting pitcher spam
