Best team or Players you like?

At this point in the game I've started just really using players I am a fan of rather than analyzing every single attribute to see who's the better option etc. I really don't get into the game as much if I don't have some sort of connection to the players I use. Idk maybe it's just me. What are your thoughts?

I've been using a lot of all-time teams and its been a blast personally

I have only one team build rule and it makes it more fun.. High Sox and Stirrups only...

I’ve never been a god squad builder like 90% of the youtubers, it’s the same thing over and over. I just use players I like, theme teams or just go and buy cards I’m like this will be cool to try.
It’s why I like playing against friends, it seems each game we go against each other we have different teams.

I agree completely. I get fired up when people say, he'll never make anyone's team. There are hundreds of good choices and people think we all use the same end game, Meta, God squad teams. Like you said, theme teams against friends are great. I will pick a division for them they pick one for me or an all time Cardinals or Brewers etc. Sometimes we do decades or just AL v NL. Like the OP said, I have more fun if I have my personal favorites in there. -
I have been doing the same. I prefer to use players that are currently playing rather than legends. However there is some legends on my team.

Gary Sheffield is my favorite card. Happy to have gotten him P3 tonight

Right now, I have 4 squads, TA4-1 and 2 basically the entire team is made up of only guys from TA4 (except the bullpen because there was obviously only one reliever in that program). The benches have a few overlaps and the starting rotation has 2 since there were 8 total starters from that program but the lineups are completely different.
Then I added a "new" team 1 and 2 consisting of all the new cards I've picked up in the last few weeks from the wild card, monthly, run it back and some purchases like Eric Davis and Rickey Henderson. Now, all of these teams could be considered God squads, however, I would wager that most online players who actually run a god squad would only have a few players from each squad.
I change my teams all the time. The downfall is I only have a handful of super factored players but I figure I can work on that when the content runs out before the new game drops. To me, it's so much more fun mixing the teams up.

I see which team I need daily missions for, and then I build a theme team of that team (has to have been a card released on said team) and use that for the entire day. It keeps the game fresh for me everyday. Plus I get to play with cards I haven't been using very much... I mean at this point we could all have a team of all 99's but for me, the themed teams are more fun.
