Bob Feller rage!!!

So I was playing in a RS game last night and I matched up against a guy who was using Feller. I normally kill this guy so I was pretty exited to pummel this guy. That is not what I did, I did win 5-0 and my opponent eventually quit but this dude turned me on my head. Instead of working off his fastball he curved and changed-up me to death and used his fastball as his true off speed pitch. 3 hanging curves doomed him but I was absolutely perplexed. I don’t strikeout normally but in this game this dude took me to town for 14 k’s in 7 innings. Fortunately for me I had Arietta on the mound and was no-hitting him up to the point of his quit out. Either way I was pissed at the fact that I could not time this guy. Now I’m certainly not complaining I’m just sharing a story that any pitcher in this game can be used if they are capable of disrupting timing. I’m a decent hitter and couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn against this guy. So kudos to that guy!!!

I had this happen to me with Nolan Ryan last year. I’m waiting fastball obviously it’s got to get thrown. This one guy just kept curveball and change ups. Used the fastball as the off speed and straight smoked me every time. I think of myself as some what disciplined and I started becoming a hacker after an inning or two of this.

I was screaming at the monitor, and I don’t lose my temper ever in this game. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of offspeed pitches. What I couldn’t get past was the fact that I kept telling myself there is no way he keeps throwing these curves and change-ups and sure enough he kept throwing them. He definitely won the mental game against me. Fortunately my pitching bailed me out!!
