I am not. Good/Good is a complete waste. It's never solid contact. The claim that Perfect/Perfect results in a .700+ average on balls in play is false. At least now. Three Ranked Seasons games in a row: 2 for 10 on Perfect/Perfect.

It's the same story every year. The game launches in a good place. A week in, everyone complains and SDS panders. Now we're stuck with this hitting engine that doesn't reward skill. Launch week was a blast but now it's just become frustrating.

Now trying to figure out how/why I need to adjust on a pitch inside or out (which was timed perfectly), but flew out lazily to dead center, causes more confusion than it should. You shouldn't be throwing your hands up in disbelief when you square up balls with guys with 90+ power but it barely makes it to the warning track. What else are you supposed to do?

The pitch speed increase was the only thing they did right. You shouldn't be able to square up 99mph fastballs without sitting on it. The speed differential works well. But now that hitting is RNG, there's no way to game-plan from AB to AB.

I just wish the focus was on rewarding solid contact above all else. In my opinion, nobody wants to feel like you're swinging a wet noodle with cards like Face of the Franchise Juan Soto. It's just not fun.

I'm not really enjoying hitting on HoF, though I will say I am getting rewarded for perfect/perfect, so that's not really my issue here.
Pitch speeds are ludicrous, (and maybe that's just me being bad, but I haven't lost a game yet on HoF and I still hate it).
PCI is still to inconsistent, some good/oks that shouldn't be good/ok

the new patch feels so much better than the previous one

    night and day

hitting is a beauty i am crushing with many cards

feels good again very happy to be playing with actual pitching - dusting ppl hard with pitching right now feels good hope everyone feels the same rush

almost at 90 wins in events so the sample size for me is large

@TheHungryHole Pitching definitely feels good, but hitting doesn't. There needs to be a balance. And if not, favor hitting every day.

I’m with OP hitting seems worst. Tell me how a 100mph Fb that I get “perfect-Perfect” one leaves the bar at 98mph? Literally should be impossible. Also it was bottom 9th 2 outs in a tie game and the ball just died in CF in front of the warning track. Should have walked it off instead lost in extra innings

100%! Unfortunately, snow flakes get [censored] hurt when they cant pitch or have to earn a win, so decent to good players languish in good/good to perfect/perfect hell...meanwhile, have you noticed the defintion of both are all over the place. Balls in the middle of the pci are "okay" now.

That’s another thing, countless “good-okay” on balls that I square right up. Hitting is worst. Pitching is unchanged, still leave meatballs on perfect release. And fielding hasn’t been fixed, still have OF lock onto a ball and go into catch animation where I can’t move them and there not even under the ball, then they miss and the ball goes bouncing to the wall.

@SatrdaysR4DaBoys Luckily I haven't run into the fielding issues. I think pitching has improved a bit. Pitching seems like the meta right now. I'm only in Wild Card but I'm 15-4. It's amazing how a game can be so frustrating that going 15-4 feels like s*hit.

I can’t pitch because my perfect release pitches are being controlled by the game.

You don’t have to earn anything, this game will hand you success with rewarding garbage hits, making your opponents fielders have errors ,nerf opponents hits to keep the score in check, hand you easy pitches to hit regardless of what your opponent does when pitching....come on man, this game has been dumbed down to elementary school level to make sure players can win, so they keep playing.

I learned last year to just ignore PCI feedback and go by the sound of the bat.

@SHOW_TIME_ryan I definitely get a feeling that I'm being nerfed at times. It seems to be game to game. Depending on the way the game's going, I might be smoking balls for extra base hits or smoking them right at fielders. It's easy to tell when you mess up. And that's on you. I get that knowing you did everything right and still producing an out is how baseball is, but this is a video game. And when it happens more often than not, it isn't fun.

Played two RS games today, beat my opponent 16-7 and the second I lost 5-3 due to a just late okay opposite field homerun. But as I thought I was taking the lead in the top of the 9th my good squared with Gary sanchez diamond card I watched the ball just float for the third out. And it sounded like I crushed it but it just wasn’t to be

Yeah, it goes both ways, sometimes you get favored sometimes you get screwed. Either way, the coding/programming shouldn’t be having an influence at all. But it does and there’s players who defend it because it helps them win.

    late/okay = gone for a HR.....good/squared = final out.....yeah, nothing shady about that.
