Sac bunts

Not to pile on the complains, but I feel like sac bunting shouldn’t be such an issue. Every time I try - just a good ol’ sac bunt...not getting cute with the timing or direction - the fielder nails my guy at 2nd (and occasionally turns two). It’s making me crazy in Showdown: one time I only needed one more run to win, had a guy on first and 6 outs. I bunted 3 times in a row, to avoid the double play and get the winner into scoring position. All three times, they got the runner at first.
Am I missing something here, or is it a common problem. I get trying to eliminate bunt cheese, but I feel like just laying down a sac bunt shouldn’t be such a [censored] shoot.

Yeah, sac bunting isn't very viable in this game. It's gotten to the point where I just try not to ground into a DP with my pitcher and take the strikeout if I have to. If you want, you can try to send the runner on first base but then you run the risk of popping the bunt up. I've just abandoned sac bunting as a strategy in this game.

Yep, for me sac bunting with a pitcher always results in a ground ball double play or a pop up. If I’m feeling risky I’ll take the first pitch (hopefully for a ball) and then bunt and steal. If I’m lucky enough to not pop it up, I usually avoid a double play.
