I feel your pain, but you’ll eventually beat it. I’m an average player at best and it took a miracle for me to beat it. The score was 20-18, one out left, two runners on, Clemente at bat and he hits one into the corn field. Man, I almost fell over.

This comment is silly SDS needs to have consistency in the game they develop and not artificially inflate game difficulty each mode should be balanced they just refuse to do it

I know....i've been on a roll lately telling people to get better so I had to. I definitely understand the frustration as I've been on that side before. It's one thing if it's the team affinity where you can bang it out in 20 minutes but something like the FOD Showdown takes an hour at the very least....only to get to the final boss and get absolutely worked.

I still play Borderlands 2-3 when Showdowns aggravate me to almost breaking a PS5 controller (those are hard to break by the way), those BL games have insane replay value. Easily my fave franchise of games

Appreciate the humor but you can only take so many good-good weak fly outs with power hitters won't be doing showdowns anymore it's actually torture to play

If you got to the final boss and got absolutely worked, then you are doing something wrong.
Don't get me wrong, Showdown is not a cake walk, but compared to the 1st Inning Showdown from last year, they are quite easy and doable in 1 try even if you are an average player.
In the FoD Showdown, the only one that can be harder is the first showdown boss since you are starting with a limited amount of "good" players. But even then, you are given a lot of outs and a small task to do on Veteran IIRC.
They "hardest" boss in the FoD Showdown for me was Lefty Grove and even then it wasn't terribly difficult. Just sit fastball and you will beat him.
As for Felix, well, he was not even close to what I anticipated to be. I was expecting to have a hard time and it was rather easy. It took me 3 outs to get it. Yes, I started 20-20 but as others mentionned, picking the right players and especially perks is the key to winning.

Friendly reminder: ALWAYS PICK EVERY HERO TIME! It is always active during the boss. So if you have the diamond one, gold one and like clear for takeoff you are golden.

Yup. I find that drafting the right players and picking the right perks is 50% of the solution.
For example, that LUCKY 7 Bronze is really nice...but you have to GET to the 7th pitch to get that meatball.....
