I really enjoy using My Player in DD. Just gives it a little added fun and pressure. I'm assuming, like most people, I used the glitch in RTTS to get their player in the 90+ range. My Player still produces just as good as any 99 player I have.

My question is, when next years game comes out, and I'm guessing this glitch will be gone, how many hours do you think it would take to make a 90+ player, playing the slow/regular/correct way? Would suck if the answer is 100's of hour's that would take away from the 100's of hour's needed just in DD to keep up. Thanks!

Well, it's gone right now. Was part of the last update, or the one before.

The grind is horrendous, especially since you can't sim to your next in-game appearance without losing progress for that game. So if you need SB and you're on 3rd, you're up the creek waiting. Utter [censored].

Is this what they did to fix the “glitch”? I stopped working on My Ballplayer because it wasn’t accumulating mission stats. I would sim to next appearance whenever I was on third, just to speed it up. Guess I never put the two together. But, it’s also not counting pitching stats either, I don’t sim anything when I’m pitching. Maybe I’ll give it another try and see if I can figure out why it stopped accumulating stats.

All I do in RTTS is play batting only. Not base running or fielding and it still accumulates stats/improvements for those even though I don’t play them.

I didn’t know about the glitch. So the time I’ve put in is real. So when people say they hate CAP ive prob spent 10 hours getting it to the 118/124 power and 99 speed.

No. The XP glitch was that you could simply sim the whole game as long as you entered it and your player would progress. You could literally zoom through a build at warp speed while getting crazy Inning XP.

The sim [censored] I'm talking about is just a horrible design decision that won't affect some builds. If you sim to your next appearance, nothing from that game will count towards your build progress. For SB, for example, you want to set up the game so that your baserunning opportunities are lead runner only with full at-bats. But then if you steal 2nd and 3rd, you have to sit and wait while the rest of the inning plays out. Possibly 3 full at bats, several minutes. Horrible.

Yeah, I think that’s why my player stopped progressing. No matter what I do, I get no credit towards missions now. I have my OF build stuck at gold and can’t progress him. Oh well, guess I’ll stick with SS.

Sim to Next Appearance is NOT the same as fast forwarding to your next appearance in the coaching/sim screen. The latter is okay. It's NOT okay to sim if you're on base, in the middle of an at-bat, on the mound, etc. That will disqualify all build progression for that game.

    Make sense?

I have always enjoyed using a CAP in DD but they botched it this year. Way too confusing
