So I'm only really getting into DD now, and trying to do more online play. I'm not afraid to admit I'm not a good hitter, and never was for the 11 years I've owned these games. but I know I was never THIS bad. Online for one thing is just totally different. Fastballs feel like they are 110 MPH and I just can never seem to square up on anything with the PCI online. And pitching is extremely inconsistent. I throw a slider or curveball and it literally HANGS and lands right in their wheelhouse, not even close to the edge of the plate I aim for. Offline I can hit OK and pitch great. I know a lot of you are good hitters and are getting screwed by the day 1 revert. but I feel like it's even worse for the ones like me who already have trouble hitting as it is. Anyone else in the same boat?
I pitch with meter, and this year game I had to change the way I pitch, Aim your location lower than normal or release earlier or later depending on the pitcher you are using and how the pitcher stuff moves. Do not try to be so perfect on the edges. Really mix up your pitches keep opponent off balance, pay attention to pitchers control, energy and Confidence it matters more this year than any other year. I been taking my start out in the 5th or 6th even if they are pitching great. I did leave my RP in to long in my last game it was 1-1 going to the 8th my pitcher hung a pitch and opponent hit it for a 3 run shot I lost 4-1. I have pitched more in the zone this year then ever before and I am getting outs it like pitcher is rewarded for being in the zone close to the edge of the plate but not on the edge. Do not pitch to the same location and change up your pitches.

Yes pitching is way out of balance. I'm no great hitter either but I'm over .500 in dd normally but right now its impossible to hit a fastball unless you guess. It should only be that hard for those players above all star level
Yes I for the life of me cannot catch up to fastballs online. I don't know if it's lag but it's terrible.

I try as much as I can but I'm basically hopeless if my opponent has great plate discipline and forces me to throw down the middle, even worse with how bad offspead pitches hang. A slider shouldn't be behaving like a 12-6 curveball.

In patch 1.4 they changed the timing window and it makes it wayyyyyy harder now. Thanks for letting your voice be heard!

before this patch OFFLINE i didnt have any problems w/ hitting that ppl were experiencing online.
After this pitch OFFLINE the balls just die in the air. It's feels like they took the weight out of the ball. -

Pitch speeds on all star feel ridiculous. And not to mention pci size is incredibly small for my players on all star. I have an all diamond team and the pci looks about 3/4 the size it was last year. And the pitch speed buff is crazy fast for all star. You have to sit dead fastball and when you get off speed you look ridiculous Bc of how fast fastballa are compared to offspeed. I do hit well still and it does create a bigger skill gap but I feel it’s being done in the wrong way. The skill gap should’ve been created by user input such as pci placement and timing along with pitching placement. Sds made a post in regards to the community complaining pitchers are hard to control. The bb/9 and control attributes for analog pitching at least should make it harder to control with the analog not with rng after good user input. That’d be like giving us button accuracy then 1/2 the time throwing the ball in the bleachers. It doesn’t make sense. Week 1 was the best any mlb has ever felt. And no one even got to experience legend difficulty on week 1 patch before they jumped the gun and tried changing stuff up. Sds needs to focus on user input more than anything right now. Not catering to the average player. They’re getting just as bad as activision is with trying to keep the “casual” players in the game with the good players by making the game rng.

Yeah I can’t hit [censored] anymore

State it in other threads that have anything to do with pitching or hitting. We need sds to hear

Shorter timing window for fastballs, that's why most people are late on them right now. They truly feel like 110 mph.

Worst the show game in years
-
It’s funny I was hitting 335 as a team befor the first patch, then 1.04 came out and my hitting went to [censored]. Today in 3 RS games I’m averaging 12 hits a game, it’s not type guys numbers but it’s a decent amount to make me happy with hitting

It's awful. I've even noticed a lot of whiffing on fastballs from opponents when I'm pitching. Maybe I should throw more fastballs for the time being lol.
