Couldn’t agree more. Don’t get me wrong. The people who’ve prepared all year should get it reasonably fast. But for those who chose not to then it should take them a lot longer. Flash sales will help those who haven’t prepared
Also, yes people will be buying packs up during the flash sale, it's not like everyone who buys a pack (depending on what the packs are) is going to pull constant diamonds. Most people are going to invest a lot of stubs in packs for nothing. Certain ones like the HRD packs and AS packs will drive the price down on those lower tier cards and the higher ones to an extent as well. What I'm curious about is how the market will react with let's say HRD cards being a collection today AND a flash sale pack. They kind of would balance each other out. People will be trying to buy up the cards instantly for the collection and on the other hand there will be an increase in the amount of cards being available. It's interesting.
HRD itself wouldn't be a collection today, just Ohtani
If that is the case, most people will still need AS and HRD cards to complete collection for Ohtani and in return collection for today. So, the demand for these cards will still be high. But I agree the prices will probably go down because supply will be higher.
guess it just depends on how they structure the collection. If it's like the Mo collection then you were allowed to miss one and still get the collections done.

The game has gone downhill for years, starting with potms. Next year they'll probably give everyone who pre-orders a LS Trout. I first started playing in 16, and once I discovered dd, was immediately pulled in. Now they just give everything away, and give every scrub a 99.

I know, I know I was just being a smart [censored]. I agree with you. I will say though technically nothing is really "given away". No matter what card you get you worked for. Some more than others. You have to please people that don't play a lot, that play all day, that spend money on the game, that don't spend money on the game etc. I mean, it is what it is.

I'm not a world series player, but I'm tired of putting in hours upon hours preparing for collections, flipping cards, investing stubs, playing hour and hours of offline boring games just so I can achieve something that sds will give away at the last minute.

I did prepare and I make WS pretty much every season kid… for me it’s not an issue to earn the cards, dang it if I had as much time to play like I had two seasons ago I’d probably make WS and get 40 wins and sell of the rewards while the prices are still “high”.
SDS is running a business here and we are customers after all, if customer satisfaction is low SDS will find a way to keep people playing the game, buying stubs and bringing in revenue, we (not casuals) are the minority.

Yeah I think the point people fail to realize on this forum is that the people that are on here are generally people that play a lot and have god squads etc. We are not the "average player". The average player probably doesn't spend any time on The Show message boards or following every social media post about the game. 95 overall Topps Now cards are hella good starters for them. And they're happy about that and that's cool. Some put in the extra time and some can't or choose not to. Some people need to spend $ on the game in order to feel they can compete and some don't.

This 1000% - if you were buying low tier KS1/2 cards for 30k, you knew there could be some kind of risk when you invest in a card that costs more than the pack when it was available.

I’d rather sell my rewards in the range 150-300K stubs than to have to wait for 250 orders of 1M stubs to fill in to avoid playing modes based on luck and RNG like BR.
The flash sale only purpose is to bring in revenue via stub sales and to keep market stability.

The average player has a God squad now too, thanks to ta3. So 500 hours of grinding since release gets you an 98 overall team, or 5 hours of ta3.

The vast majority of people don't "play the market" though. They play the game. Most people aren't interested in that and or don't have time for that. People who play a lot have a very skewed idea of what the average MLB The Show player is.

I guarantee you that at least 50% of people that play DD have not completed TA3. Probably more. Let alone the other collections like LS and Jackie etc.

The flash sale shouldn't affect a lot of the cards. Most of the collections aren't from packs but from rewards. Only cards LS and cards from packs like AS and HRD will go lower.
It’s probably going to be AS, HRD, Kitchen Sink & Space packs…. It’s going to be too easy to attain the collection reward. That’s an L in my opinion.
Casual players paid for the game as well. Everybody deserves a chance at using top tier cards.
There’s a difference between earning and getting things handed to you. If you didn’t prepare you shouldn’t be able to get the collection done fast. These flash sales will enable people (probably like you) who didn’t prepare at all, to get the cards at a discount. In my opinion bigger collections shouldn’t be easy to obtain. Just like they gave you a gift this year being able to get World Series rewards when without it you couldn’t sniff World Series
I did prepare and I make WS pretty much every season kid… for me it’s not an issue to earn the cards, dang it if I had as much time to play like I had two seasons ago I’d probably make WS and get 40 wins and sell of the rewards while the prices are still “high”.
SDS is running a business here and we are customers after all, if customer satisfaction is low SDS will find a way to keep people playing the game, buying stubs and bringing in revenue, we (not casuals) are the minority.
Yeah I think the point people fail to realize on this forum is that the people that are on here are generally people that play a lot and have god squads etc. We are not the "average player". The average player probably doesn't spend any time on The Show message boards or following every social media post about the game. 95 overall Topps Now cards are hella good starters for them. And they're happy about that and that's cool. Some put in the extra time and some can't or choose not to. Some people need to spend $ on the game in order to feel they can compete and some don't.
The average player has a God squad now too, thanks to ta3. So 500 hours of grinding since release gets you an 98 overall team, or 5 hours of ta3.
So you want to go up against TA1 squads with your god squad and have a very good time while others don’t have a chance at beating you because you played 500 hours?
