Challenge Failed Error

For those of you who are like me and have had the Challenge Failed Error and cant play online in MLB 21, try going to a friends house and play. I have top DSL high speed internet and cant get online at my house, but i went to a friends house who has crappy HughesNet Satellite internet and i can play online with no Challenge Failed errors, can someone explain this to me

When I was in college and moved into a new apartment, I couldn't play XBOX online because the WiFi provided by the apartment complex had the wrong NAT Type (Type 1 vs Type 2 I think). I don't remember what NAT even is, nor do I know the difference between NAT Type 1 and 2 without looking it up. But I couldn't play online until I put in a request to have a tech come change it somehow. After that it worked fine. I have no clue if that's relevant at all, and that was like 7-8 years ago, but it's an experience I had.

That could make sense, i have type 2 at my house, i will have to see if my friend has Type 1 and if so i will definately be switching to Type 1, thanks for your input!

Yeah and to be honest I think Type 2 is what it needed to be changed to, so I could be totally off-base. I am pretty sure my current internet is Type 2 and I have no issues. Otherwise I am not sure what could be the issue. I am not at all a whizz when it comes to this stuff.

Type 1 is open internet, like if you connect the system directly to the modem. The majority of players will connect through a router, so they will be type 2.

So if i connect using Type 1, is there a better chance of not getting the Challenge Failed glitch so i can play ranked seasons
