Question about TA3 Showdown

Thought I would try this as it could possibly be a quick 20pts.
Anyway, I noticed during the first two matches (Reyes and Gausman) that I started off the game with my 9 hole hitter on second base.
Was this a fluke or does this happen every matchup?
Going to attempt the third matchup tomorrow (Soto) and if that's the case; I'm going to take AS Turner out of leadoff and place him in the 9-hole
Yes, anytime there’s a showdown that starts with a runner on base, they’ll place the 8-9 hole batter on base (sorry, can’t remember if they put the pitcher on base).

Ok. But does EVERY matchup in the TA 3 Showdown start with a runner on base?
That's what I want to know.
The one with Reyes and Gausman started with a runner on base; but I had my top 4-5 players batting 1-5 so it was a Common with 12 speed.
Does the one with Soto start with a runner on base? If so, I'm going to put Turner in the 9-hole and run the other 1-5.
Edit: I don't want to put Turner in the 9 spot only to find out that they don't have him already on 2nd.

Usually the ones where you’re only down by like a run or two, you’ll have a man on or sometimes bases loaded.
That being said, you can read the description and it will tell you if you have runners on.

I honestly can't remember if they all start with a runner on, but if they do i wouldn't put Turner down there. I'd check your bench and reserve players first. You usually end up with someone who has at least 70+ speed

You're the type of person that skips all the Dialogue in an RPG and then complains cause the story makes no sense aren't you?
-
The first one starts with 1 runner on and down by 1. The second one starts with 2 runners on and down by 2 runs. The third one starts with no runners on a tie. The fourth one starts with 2 runners on and down by 2 runs.
(There may only be 1 runner on in either the 2nd or 4th one. Can’t remember. Who cares. Just go do it and you’ll see)

Lmao my thoughts exactly. The moment describes the exact situation you're entering.

Do YOU read the descriptions? I'm looking at them right now and NOWHERE in the description does it state that ANY runners are in base.
It tells you who you're facing and how many runs you're down.
Now, maybe after you enter the Moment it will state/show runners on base; but that's doesn't so me any good because once you enter you can't wait out to set your lineup.
But, like one other poster stated; I'll just put a player that is a Common or Bronze that has high speed in the 9 spot.

Ok. I apologize as I didn't get to read about the Kikuchi mission as it wasn't unlocked yet.
That one does state that two runners will be in base. But unless it changes after.you complete them; the Reyes, Gausman, and Soto ones state nothing about baserunner already on base.

No problem, been a while since I've done these moments and I recall almost always seeing it tell if anyone is on base, but I was wrong about a couple. My apologies for just making that assumption!
