Dear SDS

Please fix base running, it’s the only thing I think is wrong with gameplay rn. Thank you!
-
Try using face buttons. I have never had a problem
-
The base running input is super delayed either way to choose to run them.
-
I can deal with all the old baserunning issues, I guess. The new one this year, the Forrest Gump glitch, with players that don't stop running is ridiculous and should be something SDS should try and fix
-
I was playing a game against a friend a week or so ago and I was down 1 in the bottom of the 9th, with a runner on 2nd and I hit a shallow fly ball to right and the entire time it was in the air I was pressing L1 for my runner to go back to the base, and the reaction was so delayed that I ended up getting doubled off at 2nd to end the game.
Its not like it happens every game but, things like that plus the runners not stopping are the most frustrating part if this game for me

The lag is so bad in connected gameplay that basics like baserunning, tags, and throwing (pick-offs, rundowns) are affected badly. These aspects of gameplay aren't protected from lag the way hitting is (by the super slo-mo on pitch delivery which compensates). I'll keep my eyes peeled for a future where lag is addressed and then I'll happily start playing online more/again. Until then, no -- it's unreal that the lag should be so bad that the game doesn't recognise button presses for things like throws to second or tagging up a runner.

Uh, hitting is not protected from lag. I have many games where the ball is warping.

Protected a bit better, would have been more accurate. There's a mechanism for it even if it doesn't work all the time, for sure, you're right about that.

When I have lag the ball is in the glove when I am starting my swing. There is no protection lol
