That's all well and good, and I'm buy alot if cards myself. The way this year's going however, we will get a big collection, say 99 Wagner, and a week later get a free player the that's just as good.

Will completing current collections help or will I have to build another catalogue of cards to collect for those collections?
It's crazy how much content comes out.
Best advice is to collect as much as you can right now to stay ahead of the game. When the end game prize drops, which it will, you will be in a great position. Last year, you did not have to have all of the collections 100% but the majority... say 75%. There were a couple of collections that went insane, namely the Veteran collection and cards that went for 10k went for 500k. I'm not saying it will be the same this year, but more than likely their will be a collection that is more rare than the next.
Point being... while the majority are selling their rare cards to pick up the next pick thing, capitalize and buy the cards that are the most rare. Might have to wait a bit, but it will be worth it.
Will there be a use for headliners in a collection? I have pulled a few of the headliners and I’m wondering if I should sell or hold? Thanks

There pretty cheap right now and they'll go towards there series for collecions. Ex: Rob Nenn will go towards the Milestone series collection.

Man, I'm not done with Mo or LS and y'all are preparing and buying dupes.
haha... yes I'm picking up dupes for pennies on the dollar. LS collection can be a biznatch.... good luck to ya bud.
Do you think LS cards will go back up?
No

I’m not 100% sure about too many cards hitting a million stubs. With the loss of the XP path and the people who complained about SDS giving too many stubs for grinding, there are less people with that many stubs. This is just a total guess based off those facts. What do people think?

Nice. I just pulled Cliff Floyd and I believe I pulled a headliner earlier but I forgot who. I don't buy packs though.

Yes, all collections will come into play. If you want to prep now I'd say try to get 75% of each collection, start with the cheaper cards and work your way up to the more expensive ones.

There is really no telling which collections will really take off. Last year it was Post Season that went insane. Best advice is to try to grab a little of each collection. All will go up, but some more than others.

Thanks. It's tough since I don't have the best pack luck and I can never save enough to be good at flipping.
If it makes you feel better, I am no money spent and finally pulled a Trout this year after playing for 3 years. Made my LS collection a lot easier so got it done early. In the absence of pulling Trout I've gotten really good a flipping cards with a minimal amount of time.
Could you do a lesson on flipping, think it could help some people who want the bigger cards with no money spent
Sure.... It's pretty simple really. You want to find the cards that are close to quick sell value that you know will have an impact on a collection. I made a ton on the season 1 BR gold and silvers, but probably the best example is Topps Now.
If you look at the history, then you know you HAVE TO complete the collection in order to get the POTM. The early Topps Now are not as pertinent as the late Topps Now, because peeps get in a rush and don't want to put in the time. Therefore you focus on the last 2 weeks of the POTM collection and buy as many as you can.
In the last run I bought 50x each of Santillan and Casali at avg 5.2k and held firm at 10k with some on the high side for fun. Same with Sano an Urias, although they were like 8k and bought 20x each, but sold for 20k.
Lastly, if you have the time, you don't need to do all that. you can simply buy and sell based on the margins. I probably made 1M stubbs just flipping outside my initial investment. If cards are moving fast and you see a margin, you buy a card for 15k, sell it for 20k - 10% and you just made 3k.
Hope this helps!
To give you peeps an idea on my most recent flip, with minimal time and effort. I bought a ton of Allstar Bogaerts and Hendricks while the packs were out for appx 6200. I knew once the sale ended, these cards would still be in high demand to complete the collection for Ohtani.
What I did not know, was if there was going to be flash sale or any easy way to get free packs. For this reason I did not invest in the other Allstar cards or HRD cards as there prices were much higher and there was a greater risk of their prices going down.
At, 6200, worst case they plummet to quick sell value, so a max loss of 1200. Best case they will 2x or even more.
Turns out, there was a free pack, however only 1, and the prices have doubled. Again, hope this helps.
