Yes. It happens every single game, so there is no way an opponent could cheat there way into doing this. And I've had many games when my PCI looks the same in the top of the first with what you are describing. It's only visual in the feedback. The PCI isn't actually that big

i find myself always having issues in the top half of the inning because of this

Yes!!! This actually lost me a game recently. Dude scored 3 in the top of the first as the PCI was massive. I no-hit him the rest of the game on legend but lost 3-2.
Very frustrating.

It's well-known through the community and on twitch and on YouTube it is a visual glitch in the first inning only. Stop with the conspiracies, take the tin foil off your head and just play the game. If you suck in the first inning it's because you suck in the first inning not because of the PCI size.
