Current state of the game
-
- I can't hit
- I can't pitch
- I can't field
How am I supposed to play? Call me bad at the game I don't care. I'm not the greatest player, but was able to make CS a few times last year. Now I can't win a game it feels like lol.

Absolutely. It is ridiculous how bad all aspects of the game are

Juat today I hit a 94 mph fastball and got perfect/perfect with an exit velo of 90 mph and it was a lazy line drive to the center fielder. Is this how its supposed to work? With the new crack of the bat sound for solid hits, it sounded like I got jammed. How in the world can the game be this bad after only two weeks? First 4 days were outstanding though.

I felt like the game was a bit too easy the first week, too much of a home run derby, although it was decent and still fun. Now I feel like it’s pretty much unplayable H2H and don’t want to touch it. Although I won the game (not that it matters when it drags out painfully and isn’t fun to engage with) I struck out 19 times against Ohtani, mostly on fastballs down the middle. I use a monitor and I’ve played since ‘16. This was playing RS on all star difficulty. I feel sorry for any new players who use a TV and have just picked up the show, it must be impossible.

It was a hr derby because no one can locate. If you even get good and good while pitching with analog it still has a chance to hang. There's no rewarded user input it's crazy how much they talked up user input before the game came out and now look at the amount of good okays with the ball dead center in the pci. The problem wasn't hitting it was definitely pitching week 1. At least the game was fun to play week 1

I agree for the most part, I haven’t been following the opinions of others here or on social media this year at all, it was only when it became apparent to me simply by playing H2H that something was really out of whack with the swing timing windows that I looked around to see what issues others were having. While hitting felt like it was a little easy week one, it certainly rewarded input. On the pitching side, it was terrible, with my entire rotation sporting ERA over 10, lol.
I feel they’ve gone too far in the opposite direction now, I played a few games online in the last couple of days and it was like a different game. A lot of my opponents were just swinging as soon as the ball left my pitchers hand, there’s no actual skill input to it really. There are a few locations for certain pitches in the strike zone now that are pretty much unhittable and users are exploiting this once they figure it out, spamming the same thing repeatedly.
I came to the conclusion that I wasn’t enjoying the game, something was broken since the patch and came here to submit a bug report and feedback. Now I’m just bored, messing around with vs cpu modes like conquest. Seems pointless though, as everything is geared towards building a team to use in RS, which is now an unplayable mess, at least in my personal opinion. -
